Great shape, but Fallen Oak today was better if playing in the state 4 ball this coming week they will be perfect by then if we don’t get a ton of rain.

Thx for sharing those pics

Bandon is on my list

Shot 41-37 at Wetlands today. It played as a par 71 due to some drainage work being done on 18

They moved all tees up to make it a par 3

Played Santa Maria on Saturday. 2:06 tee time. Holy hell was it hot.

49-49 First time under 100.

Trying to figure out where I'm playing this weekend.

Walked 18 at Pelican Point Lakes yesterday. It was a bit warm. Probably should have started earlier than 9:15. 40-37 for 77. Greens are in great shape.

Heresy, but golf-wise, it is more incredible than St. Andrews. One word of advise for anyone going ... GET IN SHAPE! No carts. Walking 15+ miles a day of undulating terrain. Wish I would have done better in that department.
Proud that my 59-year old body made it through 121 holes in 3 1/2 days, but might have played better if I was not hurting.

Thx for the heads up Honestly didn't know there were no carts on any of the courses

And I know in my case that it will not top the Old Course at St Andrews, b/c I birdied 18 as the first group coming in on a Saturday with a full crowd, after lipping out for eagle from 110 out to shoot 79.

I did the SAME THING. Three wood, wedge to 10 feet. sank the birdie for a 76. Awesome to do that with a crowd that celebrates with you. Will never forget that experience.
Yes, it's cool and you do get goosebumps on the 1st tee, but besides 1, 16, 17, and 18, do you remember any other holes? It's history and it's cool, but I promise you, Bandon will blow you away.
I know it will not be a popular opinion, but you have to go there to understand.

I know every hole on the Old Course, every bunker.

Played a computer simulation of the course for 2 years on a PC back in 2002 for the 2004 trip. Probably played it 1000 times before getting there.

Our scheduled round there was not until Monday, but we won the Saturday lottery. Willie Stewart was my caddie, and he caddied for me twice more on the trip.

I was a 10 hdcp then. 11.2 as I type.

Wow. I'm not worthy!
I was first in line for the queue. Went out second group. Had a caddy that complained about his back the entire round. Paired with 3 great guys from NJ and we played 2 v 2. We lost by 1 stroke.
I've played the Old Course on WGT online. Not that much into video games.
Keep Bandon on your list. If you play WGT, you can play the Bandon Par 3s.

Yes

Did the same for Pebble Beach, on XBOX and WGT, but not with similar results.

Playing Pebble for the 3rd time this coming January, week before the Pro-Am. Might be the charm.

I have a new driver that I trust more than the one used my previous 2 rounds there. Frustrating to par all 4 par 3s and struggle so mightily on most every other hole, whey you can't get off the box

Okay, so is Pebble worth it? Dumb question, but it's so freakin' expensive! I turn 60 next March and I wanted to go to celebrate, but it's so much $$$.
What months did you play Pebble? Looking at late March.

I have played it twice. Both were the Fri and Sat the week before their annual PGA event, late Jan w good weather.

Same trip planned for 2021. It’s a package/junket deal. Stay 3 nights and play 2 rounds. Cost about $1800.

We add a Thurs round to the trip. First time we played Pacific Grove, which was recommended to me by Ted Scott. Called it the best 9 holes in golf, and it did not disappoint. And it was a public links for $60. LOL

Second time we played Pasatiempo, an Alistair Mackenzie course in Santa Cruz, on the way to Pebble from San Fran. It was $360, and a bit too challenging for my game at that time. Beautiful, nonetheless.

I will play a decent round at Pebble this time, if weather permits.

39/42/81 to win my flight tournament at the Bluffs Saturday. Fairways were in good shape, but a lot of ground under repair. #2 isn't close to coming back from what I can see. Greens in pretty good shape, although front 9 much faster than the back 9. Tee boxes a patchy too.
