Had a couple of great years with some time spent at world number 1, did well in some majors and then disappeared just as quickly as his rise?

Spieth is currently outside of the top 30 in the rankings with just 5 top tens in his last 31 tournaments with 7 missed cuts over that time.

Interesting take. Spieth did admit in an interview last year that he did not feel comfortable over the golf ball. Don't get me wrong, he is still playing unbelievable golf, but not what he was doing a couple of years ago.

1) I think life may be getting in the way of being solely focused on golf. Isn't he engaged? He's 25 and a millionaire. I would lose focus too. I think he will snap back in a few years. Hell, your brain doesn't fully develop until you are 28ish.

2) It really makes you appreciated exactly what Tiger did for so long?

Duval’s problems were physical. Spieth’s are mental.

Dude is doing gymnastics in his head. Can’t hit a ball without a full 2 minutes of dialog with Greller.

He will be back and it won’t be a gradual return. Once he is back he will be competing immediately.

I wouldn't be surprised if he gets a Top 10 at the Masters. Horses for courses.

I like Spieth, but I'll never forgive him for letting Danny freaking Willett win a Green Jacket.

Duval had injury problems and hated the spotlight. Not a fair comparison.

Tiger and Rory both had some rough years too. Jordan will be fine

Eldrick won 6 consecutive tournaments in 2006. That's not terrible.

He has more majors and PGA Tour wins at his age than anyone except Tiger and maybe Jack.

Tiger had down years early in his career too... 1998, 2004

Speith is no Tiger, but he’ll be fine. He played 2 good rounds in the match play and he played really well today.

I expect he’ll be in contention next week.

He was. They got married. His driver is what's killing him. No confidence on the tee. It's getting better though. He made 5 birdies yesterday.

When he came out on the tour he was making an unbelievable amount of long putts. His make percentage from long range was historic. There was no way he could keep that kind of clip up over an entire career and he hasn’t.

He can hit a 3w 270 straight as an arrow. He should snap his driver and bring an extra wedge.

^^this^^

He made unbelievable putts to win the Master's and US Open. 2015 Spieth was maybe the greatest putter I've ever seen. And now he's below average.
