Want to bring my clubs, but don’t know where to play that is worth, don’t mind a pricey green fee. Also, did I hear that The Hombre closed?

Regatta and Kelly are both amazing. Baytowne has a couple good courses. All in all with destin golf, you get what you pay for

I just talked to brother in law and he said Kelly was in horrible condition, not sure about Regatta.

Make the drive out to Windswept Dunes. Clubhouse is a dump but the course is awesome and always in good shape.

Camp Creek if you can find a member. Sharks Tooth.

Rocky Bayou out in Niceville, FL is a great track if you're willing to make a drive. It's got some very interesting holes that you won't find on the mainland of Destin. I played Kelly in December and agree with a previous poster, stay away. Emerald Bay, Regatta Bay and Indian Bayou are other great options.

How the hell is Kelly in bad shape? Could it be due to low play for charging $230 all summer? I don’t know.
OP, there’s no reason to “make a drive”
Play Regatta, Emerald Bay, Indian bayou, or any of the SanDestin courses.
It’s winter, nothing will be primo.

They are redoing a bunch of tee boxes and bunkers.

I’d rank the ones I’ve played within the last year like this:
Santa Rosa Golf Club
Kelly Plantation
Windswept Dunes
Regatta Bay
Sandestin Baytowne
Sandestin Links
Emerald Bay
Santa Rosa will be tough to get on, but the rest are public. Don’t know about current conditions. Was going more on layout.

Upvote - Fun and forgiving course. Always in good shape when I have played it.

Another vote for Rocky Bayou…. The club house and service isn’t near the others, but it’s a nice course with holes you can’t find on the coast.

Bumping this because I’m down here now.
Indian Bayou any good?

Always in pretty good shape. Fun, old style golf course.

Used to be a really good value. Last couple times I played there it wasn’t worth the price. Green fees have gone up significantly, and the conditioning was poor. I’d rather pay a little more and play Regatta or Kelly. Or go to Windswept

Played Indian Bayou today. Highly recommend.
Course was in great shape. Staff was very friendly. Pace was solid.

If you are in Destin frequently, check out the Destin Area Winter Classic. Happens every year, first weekend in December and has over 256 players. It’s a 2 man event with each day a different format and you get to play all those Bayou courses and Kelly plantation. We come down from Atlanta and have a group of 10 each year. We have a blast.

I'm going in June and will be bringing my clubs. I've played Raven before and it was nice but no one is mentioning it, has is gone down hill? What about Pine Dunes?
