He’s trying to go pro and plays in tournaments

His problem is between his ears. He implodes in tournament play. No amount of practice can help the mental side. He’s boring, sure, but his content is focused ire on the road to the tour… he just can’t are it yet.

He’s a less likable Rick shiels

If he is a 2 handicap it’s much much more than that
We have a +3 at our club that fires under 70 every single time. And he struggled on the korn ferry a few years. Micah at a 2 is laughable to be “trying to go pro”

Yep. I know a kid that is a +5 and has been trying to go pro for three years now. Has yet fo earn more than 7k total in a year.

He’s “playing in tournaments” that have like 30 man fields that he has to pay to play in. Anyone can play in those. He plays in a handful of those a year. That not a showing that someone is “trying to go pro” and serious about it

Like I said, he’s been saying this for 2 years.

Micah had Bryson Dechambeau on not long ago and asked him what it takes to go pro. Bryson said when you are consistently shooting 57, 58 or 59 from the red tees then you're ready. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Yeah, I've heard that before from other pros. A lot of them do that when they're struggling to get confidence back making birdies

That’s the issue.

I can’t buy into this dream of his. It would be enjoyable to follow a really entertaining guy attempt to barely hang on to the PGA tour. Or a wildly good but flawed golfer try to work his way up.

But Micah is boring and not good enough to even sniff the PGA tour. It’s not entertaining at all. I wish him all the best, but it’s terrible content.

It’s impressive that he can do this, but he bends over backwards to hit his 2 iron pretty much every chance he can. Get him on a course where he has to pull driver 7-8 times and he’d really embarrass himself. I know I sound like a hater. I don’t mean to at all.

This is the Brian Bros and they’re great IMO

It’s more so his inconsistent iron play and putting IMO. Watch him play these stroke play matches against your pros. He very rarely leaves himself with good birdie putts. When he does, he gets nervous and yanks putts. He always makes good contact but he just doesn’t have great control of them. There’s a reason Garrett beat Micah pretty handily in their weekly matches over the course of the year 2021. Micah quit doing them after that. He’s not nearly as good as he thinks he is. And you could kind of tell when Bryson was responding to Micah’s personal record lowest round. Bryson was like to get to the point of being a touring pro you need to average that every time you play at home and a bad round should be a 67-68. Micah seemed like a deer in headlights

luke peavy played Micah straight up on Micah's home course and beat him by like 5 strokes. Micah definitely struggles in stroke play competitions.

It makes no sense that he thinks he can and I really doubt he does to be honest. Funniest thing I’ve heard in a while was Malnatti commenting on how some kids at Torrey were saying “look it’s Micah and Grant” while they were playing that scramble with a tour pro. So ironic considering the personality flaws the Youtubers have versus Malnatti. Malnatti might be the most entertaining person on Tour to watch from a personality stand point and he’s a nobody in comparison. I think they’ve found a niche with YouTube advertising and the going pro stuff is just a narrative he uses to keep younger viewers interested.

This was debated earlier ITT. On the most recent GG video at a pro am in Dubai, Garrett says Matt us a 7 handicap. If Matt is a 7, I’d say Bubbie is around a 10 and that’s solely due to Bubbie’s game around the green being so dreadful. Hard to get a lower handicap when you’re hitting Texas wedges as much as he is. Kind of amazing his chipping is still as bad as it is as much as he plays and as naturally skilled as he

It’s amazing how much better Matt plays when it seems like he’s not on cocaine the whole time

I can’t find any one of them on ghin.

Garrett has the best short game of any of them he can just be erratic from the tee. Micah has the most distance but it seems like he always has a few just bad shots. Grant is the most consistent but it seems like his short game holds him back from going real low.

I think Micah’s going pro notion is more so just to drum up content

I watch the videos here and there before bed and they are entertaining enough.

Im actually looking forward to the “major” they are playing in Dubai because I think Bubbie has improved massively and is better than his 10, I think he’s better than Matt. If he can avoid a few blow up holes I bet he can shoot in the 70’s

Grant wedge game is awesome. He’s just a little yippy on putts. Grant has the lowest handicap of all of them
