Good golf school for sure, but those guys are nearly 50. Kuch maybe early 40s.

They redid the practice facility in 2017, it’s super nice and literally right off campus in midtown.

They had a pretty decent player in the 20’s as well.

They had last year's US Amateur champion too.

Nope. Georgia Tech
In 2005, the program was rated by Golf Magazine as the #1 collegiate golf program in the country.
Some notable Georgia Tech golfers are David Duval, Stewart Cink, Troy Matteson, Larry Mize, Bryce Molder, Cameron Tringale and Matt Kuchar...
Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's golf team is one of the most consistent Yellow Jacket teams. They have won 19 conference championships:[18]
Southeastern Conference (1): 1949
Atlantic Coast Conference (18): 1985, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019
They have produced three NCAA individual champions: Watts Gunn in 1927, Charlie Yates in 1934, and Troy Matteson in 2002.

Where do they even play since GT is in downtown Atlanta?

Tech is certainly a good program, but there are a handful of others that could certainly be considered factories. For example, Oklahoma State, UGA, Texas, Stanford, and Arizona State are all teams that have put out a ton of high level pros and won NCAA titles (a feat Tech has yet to accomplish). Their resumes in terms of championships and success in major amateur events/on Tour certainly stack up against Tech’s.

I agree on that.

Mostly at East Lake. They'll also go to most of the northern suburb private clubs as well. We hosted them several times where I worked because the owner played there on the same team as Charlie Rymer.

UGA has a better program since 2005. Tech went in the crapper a bit when Puggy Blackmon left in 1995 and Bruce Heppler was hired. UGA hired Chris Haack from the AJGA in 1996 and we've been much better since then. We have for more guys on the PGA Tour than Tech does and have 2 national titles to Tech's zero. Tech has never made the match play since the NCAA format changed. UGA has made it 4 times and advanced to the championship match 3 times. UGA also has 26 SEC titles.

To me it’s def Georgia right now and it’s not very debatable. Reed (although intolerable is legit),Todd, English, Kisner, Watson, Henley.

Charlie Rymer is da man.
He damn near died of covid.
15 years ago GT had the facilities in Bobby Dodd stadium - and was nice but does not stack up against newer digs like OSU and ASU.
I would put Georgia Tech in the second tier of golf schools with LSU, Florida, etc...

Reed
UGA has about as much claim to Pat Reed as UF does to Cam Newton

And we would prefer that he was never associated with UGA in any way... ever

Add Keith Mitchell, Chris Kirk, Hudson Swafford and Brian Harman to that list.
Drop Patrick Reed; he wasn't in Athens long enough to make any sort of positive contribution.

Sepp Straka’s had a good year this year as well. We had 8 guys make the cut at the PGA this year. Definitely a great golf school.

They have 15 acres in midtown next to atlantic station, the land is probably some of the most expensive in all of atlanta
Golf Club of Georgia is their home course but really they have access to anywhere
