I'm honestly not even sure how much I will like it over my Cleveland HB soft center shaft mallet but I have always wanted a Scotty. I'm laid up recovering from knee surgery and found one I liked on Ebay so I pulled the trigger. Now I'm like a kid on christmas waiting to get this thing here and get my putting mat out. Next on the agenda is to have my Garmin R10, range mat and nets in by the time I'm fully released so I can have my patio sim setup complete!

Congrats. I bought that same one for my son last year so he’d have a nice putter in his bag.

At the end of the day, it’s all marketing lol. Nothing that truly sets them apart from lots of other great putter makers out there. I own a couple Scotty’s but rotate putters like crazy

Congrats and I hope it works out for you but I’ve never understood buying a putter that you have never hit before. How do you know it’s right for you?

Agree, and could easily be counterfeit.

Good looking putter right there.. I've got a couple of them and have been using the Squareback 2 for a while now...

My Scotty Cameron and TaylorMade 3 wood are my favorite clubs.

I have the Fastback 2.0 and it’s amazing. I’m not good enough to use a blade.

I'm still playing with a Odyssey Rossie 2 that's over 30 years old...

I’ve had the same Ping Anser for over 20 years now. I’ve thought about getting a Newport but can’t justify the cost when I like what I have and a Newport being essentially the same putter. It would be a complete vanity purchase if I did it

I really don't know if it's right for me but resale vs purchase price was still in the green for me,and after checking every angle and aspect I could through the pics it seems 100% legit so I went ahead and bought it to try at 50% of retail rather than full retail and hope I could get my money back if I don't like it.

That’s one of the good things about Scotty’s due to their following, resale always holds more value vs. other brands. You can get most of your money back down the line

I’ve had a Newport for about 10yrs after putting with a Ping Anser for about 15yrs. Side by side comparison for me showed the Anser skipped the first 1-3ft of a putt where the Newport rolled at contact. My Newport has been much more consistent for me.

Great looking putter. More than half the battle of putting is liking your putter and having confidence in it.

I've got a beat up Nike Blade style putter from the early 2000's, that the grip makes my hands all black and dirty and I can't get rid of the thing or get myself to regrip it, because it just produces for me.

Update

Got my putter in last week and dug out my 8' putting mat. I have always felt like these putting mats gave a false confidence but I mainly use it to maintain a consistent stroke path more than seeing how many straight line no break putts I can make. I'm glad I went with the full milled face over the insert as well as the upgraded 30 gr weights. Face contact is smooth and not clicky but the weight helps me maintain consistent speed as it weighs about the same as my cleveland. I'm not saying this will be my 100% gamer but I like it so far. The true test will be once I can get to my local course and have a few hours of short game practice. This summer I have played and tweaked and practiced so much that I'm playing some of the best golf of my life now this knee surgery has my leg locked straight for 2 more weeks, bending with a brace for 2 weeks after that and god knows how long before the Dr will release me for full swing play.
