I had some friends play this Saturday mid day. They had their windows busted out and everything in the car of value including hand guns stolen. They were told this has been a regular occurrence by the police.

Well out there they should have had their guns in their golf bags...

Makes sense on multiple fronts

I heard someone drove by in a car just shooting at the course a week or so ago while golfers were playing.

I was considering going tomorrow. I'll ask about it.

I haven't seen any rough folks around the course parking even in older state.

Planning a quick round out there this afternoon...any update? Ya know, other than the general threat of being shot at in Baton Rouge?

I played Clark plenty of times along with Howell Park which I also heard was dangerous to play. Most of the time, it was late evenings and I was the last one off the course finishing in the dark. Never worried about it maybe I was just lucky. Played late afternoon at Clark 4 times the past 2 weeks.

I’m never heard anyone mention it in clubhouse and didn’t see any less traffic at the course. Been a few times since this post

I just put the gun the golf bag

Was this OP's attempt at limiting the amount of traffic at Clark?

Played today. I wasn’t shot at and my car windows survived. Course is in good shape. Greens are faster now than they were a month or two ago.

Would it kill them to put a couple water coolers on the course?

BREC put water fountains out so they don’t do coolers

Mind you the water fountain is about 200 degrees water

It’s fricking lazy. Put an ice machine out there then.

Not sure which is worse, the lone water fountain at Clark, or the water fountain with an Igloo that has cold water on the same damn hole at Santa Maria. That’s just a middle finger to your customers.

Don't laugh, we use to do that at Brock Park here in Houston.

People were getting robbed in the middle of the fairway by thugs.

I use to play with a couple of Cops who always had handcuffs and a pistol in their bag and they arrested some punks one day when I wasn't with them.

Why would you keep a handgun in a car and not have it locked up?

You should either have it on you especially if you are playing in the hood or it should be locked up in something so it can’t be stolen.

PP has water coolers on the Lakes and water fountains on the Links. Plus cart girls out there selling cold beverages. What more should they do?

I bring a cup with ice to the course and fill it up at the available water stops. At the turn I’ll get more ice. I don’t understand why any golfer wouldn’t bring water with them to the course. It isn’t rocket science.
