All reports are it’s a great driver. If you must hit range balls with it, and I suggest you limit that practice, clean the ball. The sand and dirt getting b/t the face and ball will crack the face. It has a super thin face.

Goes as far as the Rogue for me but more forgiving. Which is saying something. Great driver. The sub zero is way low spin. Too much.

Doesn't matter whwn you swing the club 75 mph. I'd reccomend the gx9 for you gramps

I have the Sub Zero. I am a high spin player. It’s the best driver I ever hit.

Got fitted about a month ago and ended up on the sub zero. Haven’t gotten around to pulling the trigger on it though.

I got fitted for the Smoke shaft. It was a great combo for me. Gained 3-4mph club head speed.

Try the F9.... your welcome

I have the Epic driver that came out a few years ago. My buddy has the Epic Flash so I took the head off and put it on my shaft and there was zero difference in distance.
I played an entire round with the flash head on my shaft and I was in the same spots that I'm always playing from.
It's a great driver, but don't spend the extra money on the flash. If you can find the original epic, buy that one and save you some $$$.

I like it. Consistently longer drives and harder to turn over.

I have it, smoke shaft. Love it.
Like most clubs, when you hit it good - they’re all going to go about the same distance.
The biggest thing I notice is how far it goes when I miss - toe it, a little drop kick, off center, whatever - it still goes. My misses are a lot further.

This is the key. Clubs are regulated as to how much energy conversion the face can generate. All clubs are topped out at around 81% I think. Definitely could be wrong on that number though. All the other factors as to spin generation, swing weight, shaft, etc tend to make a particular club better for you. Clubs are more focused now on fixing our swing flaws.

I have the Epic Flash with a Tensi Orange shaft.
Spin is perfect and very forgiving.

Been playing the epic flash for about two weeks, and I have found it to be much more forgiving than the rogue so far. Which is pretty consistent with others in this thread, and Callaway’s main selling point.

Feels good, very forgiving, I just can’t look at it at address, so not going in bag.

I think all drivers are really working on forgiveness. They can’t really squeeze any more ball speed off the face legally.

Ditto. I just can’t get used to looking down at the newer Callaway driver heads.

Max COR is .830.
Using my GC Quad data the highest COR numbers I’ve seen is with my Adams Redline Ti460. It was .900. That’s why it was labeled a nonconforming driver. It’s still the hottest driver I’ve hit and it’s my gamer. I’ve had the same driver since 2006 and it still outperforms my new M5 and G400 Max.
You can find them on eBay for less than $100. I’ve only hit it with the stock Fujikura G60 shaft though.
Only downside is the sound. High pitched noise, but it sure goes a long way!
