Team USA never really had a rift. The only us player that seems to have made enemies is Phil, and he already had been moved aside on the Ryder cup

Now team Europe seems to have legit rifts. Their guys talked a lot more shot about the tour and everyone involved on the way out and continue to do so. Brooks and dj remained friends with all the tour guys and never joined any lawsuit etc

I mean look at the vocal leaders of the tour, Rory and jt, they both have been nothing but positive and still friends with Dj and Brooks. It’s the guys who left and wanted to go scorched earth on the way out that made their beds

Bryson seems to be somewhat in the middle there. He wasn’t vocal but he did join the lawsuit, which I can’t imagine sat well with a lot of players. He def hasn’t been in any of the buddy buddy groupings with tour players like dj and brooks, and then there was him throwing some shade at tiger who will also be involved with the team

I don’t think he would make it as a captains pick personally. But I absolutely think Dj and brooks would

Are we going to pretend like Bryson has been playing good golf outside of the PGA Championship at a course that suits him perfectly?

Yeh there is that too. As of now Bryson wouldn’t be on the team even if liv didn’t exist

Bruh not a single European Ryder Cup guy plays on the European Tour anymore. They all play in the states.

Yeah, he has no problem with them on two tours potentially, but when a US player does it, oh my.

I do not get the position.

Him making the team will open the door for Zach to make Dustin Johnson one of his captain's picks. Brooks and DJ make the team better, and most importantly the entire Team USA locker room wants those guys on the team.

The other players might not want him, but give me Patrick Reed over Max Homa everyday of the week!! Reed has a top 5 and top 20 in the last 2 majors. The majors don’t even know who Max Homa is……

I feel like this is an important part to ignore in the team setting

Do they want to win or let Max Homa play and not score a point?

Captain America is 3-0 in single matches.

Max is going to automatically qualify, and went 4-0 in the Presidents Cup

So we should just ignore how piss poor he played in the team matches last go round?

Reed didn’t play in the last Ryder Cup and it was our best performance maybe ever

How did he do in the last Ryder cup? How has his form been over the last two seasons? Will you respond with a real answer?

This year in 2 majors T-4 and T-18, 2022 he put up Max Homa major finishes

If we say it stays the way it is now, the automatics are (not sure when the spots get locked in):

Scottie Scheffler
Max Homa
Xander Schauffele
Cameron Young
Jordan Spieth
Patrick Cantlay

That leaves you six more. Just for this I'll say LIV guys included (I don't think they will be):

I think your other locks are JT, Burns, DJ, Koepka. Based off of world rankings, Zalatoris and Finau would be the next two in.

If I'm picking, even if Zalatoris comes back, there's no way I put him in. Health is an issue and he looks like he has the yips.

Koepka
JT
DJ
Burns
Morikawa
Finau
I think if Patrick Reed was still on tour and kept his world ranking higher, he'd still be on the team. But he is now behind Kitiyama, Bradley, Theegala, Henley, Hodge, Clark, Horschel, Kirk, Harman, and English.

There's no way a captain would pick him over that many guys ahead of him in the rankings, even though you know he'd be a better Ryder Cup player than some of those.

There’s no chance a player of koepka’s caliber is left off the Ryder cup. I would be shocked. ETA: especially as a captains pick.

If the Presidents Cup is any indication, there won’t be any LIV players on the European or USA teams. I went to the PC last Sept and Cam Smith had just recently announced for LIV and he was pulled.

With all due respect, having Burns and JT as locks over Morikawa is absurd.

Presidents Cup is run by the PGA Tour.

Ryder Cup is run by the PGA of America.

This.

Most, if not all of the LIV Players have dropped out of the lawsuit now.

If the majority of LIV players would demand Norman to drop the lawsuit, that would create some good will.

I agree now that the PGA of America should be able to pick their players without any reservations .

A lot has changed since then. All the LIV guys can now play in majors. Ryder Cup will be the last domino to fall, and it will.

What in the world are you talking about?

I feel like people are just completely making things up to fit their narrative.
