69 in a USGA event (US am)
Lot of pressure there.

Great score. This board has some very talented players.
Last year due to the yips I never broke 80.
I tried different putters and grips, and finally landed on a fang mallet from Sub70 with a thick grip. I also finally landed on a pencil grip after trying claw, saw, left hand low, and on and on.
This year my best so far is 76.
Of course in GHIN that 76 is next to a 91.
I’ve managed to break 80 four times this year.
My goal is to get my average from 84 to 81 and my index to 7.

78. First and only time playing from the tips at Atchafalaya back when it was pristine. Fairwood wood or hybrid into every par 3 and just about all the par 4s. Also shot 72 out there from the whites after losing a contact on the front side.

Best legit round at a challenging course is 83, was during a tournament at my club though, used 1 ball the entire time which I thought was more impressive and kept it on a shelf in my office.
Best score was 81 at Webb park way back in the day but I’m sure there was a lot of shenanigans to get there

I've shot even par 3 times. It kills me that I have not shot under yet.

I went out to Alex G&CC one weekday afternoon. Got there at the same time as an acquaintance so we decided to walk together. I shot a terrible 43 on the front. I was so pissed I threw my driver in the bed of my truck as I made the turn. I proceeded to shoot 33 on the back

72 at old waverly. 39-33. Tore it up on the back. I’ve been around the low 70’s several other times but Waverly was probably the hardest track I’ve done it on.
That was probably 11-12 years ago. Game has gone to shite since college. Wrist surgery having kids will do it.
Haven’t broke 80 yet this year although I don’t play near as much. Usually sit in low to mid 80’s these days

I've shot 73 twice. Both in tournaments oddly enough. I've never bested 73 despite playing a million other rounds. I've been under par thru 9 several times. Always shite the bed...

62 in a "friendly" round. 64 in a mintour event.
Played 27 holes in a large money game (40+ players) and shot 65 to win most of the cash (low individual plus my 4 man team won both sides and the overall). Then after drinking for an hour, played an emergency 9 and shot 29. That really pissed off some folks who thought they were getting their money back.

Lowest 64. Lowest in competition, 66.
I shoot 76-78 these days, but every once in a while catch lightning in a bottle and shoot 68 or 69.
I also do the opposite and shoot an occasional 85 if I start pumping balls OB off the tee…which happens.

Always impressed by the number of really good players here
Shot even 72 in high school. Stopped playing after college for 10+ years and got back into it during COVID
Shot 82 at Pacific Dunes last week in 30+ mph wind and more proud of that than just about any round I've played.

I’m usually low to mid 80s but I have had three rounds in the 70s this summer. With deer season coming up, I’ll play a few more rounds, and then start the golf adventure all over again in February.

Never broke 80 until 2 years ago and I am in my 70s. Last year I shot 1 under on a par 72 course. Have to admit, the round seemed unreal. 2 Eagles, 2 birdies, and enough bogies to achieve my score. Shot my age that day. 2 goals in one day.
Now I find it difficult to shoot low 80s. Golf; gotta love it, or find a new hobby.

Best round is a 77 and I zero birdies which is the most frustrating thing. I was on all day hitting fairways and greens
79 for me. And it was really an 80. Adjusted because I can’t take more than a triple. I suck.

Congrats. Mine was at Beauregard C.C. Shoot 66. Have several under par rounds here and there. This was over 20 years ago. Cant break 80 now.

69 with 4 birdies and an eagle all on the back 9.
shot a 39 on the front and a 30 on the back. I've never approached that level of the back 9 again.

Same here. 69 with 5 birdies and 2 bogeys. Never have shot 70 or 71. It was a magical day at LSU in the early 2000s.
Played 9 yesterday and got beat by my 17 and 8 year old sons!! Lol

Broke 80 for the first time last year on May 4th. 79 at OCC.
Since then I’ve done it 8 times with a lot of 80-83 scores thrown in.
Shot my personal best on august 3rd this year, a 74 at the Farm. I hit 10 fairways, 9 GIRs, and got up and down 5 times. 2 birdies and 4 bogeys. 28 putts.
Currently a 6.0 index.
