Just admit it, ANGC doesn't know what they're doing! We got some guys posting right here who could advise them...
Ones of them has even been there... TWICE! He saw Phil go eagle-eagle.. If that isn't a strong enough qualifier I don't know what is!
I bet he even knows about the sub-air system!

Perhaps the green jackets should have Titlest design a ball that doesn't go 350 yards off the tee. That would force the players to play the course as it was originally designed.
Yes and when they’re finished with the ball the green jackets can outlaw any player with a low body fat % and a high swing speed.
We must kill this distance nonsense.

I don't like the greens this week and I watch the Masters every year. They are playing at U.S. Open conditions right now. Hoping they get the rain they are calling for.

Only from a aesthetic point of view.
The greens are brown and they look bad.
The drone shots are nice but should be limited. (Not flattering to the course)
Ground level shots make the course look extremely lush and beautiful.
If anybody doesn’t think that matters, why do they incessantly talk about azaleas, dogwoods, and pine trees?
And also....do the players have to hear the piped in bird noises?

Are the players listening to the CBS audio on ear phones during their rounds?

I don't know, but I do know that they are paying attention to the scoring average of each hole so they know their live strokes gained stats.

Yea, I know what it is. I also know you're not very proficient at it.

So you like the fake bird noises in the broadcast?

To be honest, I was there Tuesday and didn’t see a bird in sight but still heard the chirping. It was coming out of a tree that didn’t appear to have a bird in it.

I don’t mind it on occasion. They also showed a cardinal chirping on a streaming channel. So there are some out there.

I get that.
But fake fans in the stands and fake crowd noise in any sport reminds me of fake wrestling.
I want reality in sports not fake stuff.
What else are “they” faking?

Back on topic, the greens from this 2019 rebroadcast are pretty darn green.

I heard Ryan Palmer do an interview on The Ticket in Dallas, and he said if anyone shoots -20 this year, he will quit golf. Said greens were very fast, to the point where it looks like some might not make it to next week.
The talking point was ANGC was embarrassed by the low score last year and didn’t want to see it again.

It's fun watching them try to adjust to the greens now that they're wet lol

The back to back tournament theory doesn't hold water as they only play 1 day at Augusta National and the ladies play 36 holes at Champions Retreat on Wed n Thurs the field is cut to top 30 who get to play a pratice round at Augusta National on Friday and then play the final round on Sat.. Augusta National received 2 inches of rain on Wed March 31 and they didn't water the greens after that nor did they run the sub-air system with intent to have some hard and fast putting surfaces for the Masters they got there wish and now the ran on Sat conditions changed with just 1/2 inch of rain back to a more normal speed for the late players on Sat....the sub air system is being run tonite and those greens will be fast tommorow.....13.5-14 on stimp...
