Welcome to fall Just kidding, it’s still hot as hell on the gulf coast. Football and club championship season has arrived. Hopefully, the rain will slacken, and we can get some golf in. For all of our yankee friends, enjoy the last weeks of golf before the snow starts. Know that all of us down south hate you and your cool weather

Hit them straight and post course reviews when you can.

First round of golf yesterday at Links on the Bayou, Alec. in about 5 months. Shoulder still not 100% but can get about a 3/4 qtr. swing. 40/43-83. Typical short game irregularities but not anything more golf will cure. LOTB in great shape.

Money Hill yesterday, greens were as bad as I’ve ever seen them, rest of the course was in great shape.

Carter plantation yesterday. 77 after starting 5 over through 4. So pretty happy with the round. Course was in good shape. Fairway Bunkers could use a little more sand but it made them easy to get out of being a little harder. Only bad tee box is 3. Greens were good. Not as fast as I’ve seen them out there but rolled fine.

88 yesterday at Pelican Point. That's right at my average there for the summer. As always, 4-5 wasted shots that kept me from being better.

The course is in outstanding shape. Greens rolling very true as always. Fairways great also. Buying that anniversary membership last summer was one of the better things I've ever done golf-wise.

For some reason their bunkers are always kind of weak. But I’d rather that than the fairways or greens in iffy shape

I had 32 shots on 4 holes for the 100 :-( sorta gave up after a 48 on the front and drank beer and worked on game with different shots I would never play if I had not given up.

76 at koasati
81 at the wetlands

Also hit it around at le triomphe. They’re stil in the middle of a greens renovation but the rest of the course is perfect right now. Should be awesome when the greens are done. Koasati was in great shape. Greens weren’t super fast but they rolled perfectly true. I’ve always liked the layout over there, especially with multiple split fairways and risk/reward par 5s. Didn’t realize how long that course plays. It was around 7200 from the one ups. Wetlands was in ok shape. Not as good as it was earlier in the summer. Had a couple putts wobble back and forth or bounce. The rough is also long enough to lose a ball in making things pretty difficult, but for a local muni in Lafayette it’s pretty good

He came from Copper Mill back when Copper Mill was pretty good. He's been at Money Hill for about six years now and has done a really good job.

Well wtf is wrong with the greens when everywhere else is pure I’ve played there more times than I can count and never remember them being that way, always perfect. I know they punched today, hopefully they will turn around as I always enjoy playing there.
