290 rounds played at the Masters this year, only 1 scored above 82, yet they praise Tiger

I get it he is one of the GOATs, but enough, 100% of his injuries are his fault- NOT a good driver and not a good person. Great golfer whose time has long past.

Could’ve sworn Meronk shot like an 84
ETA: nope just an 80

People who are still bothered by his character when he was younger are very weird to me.

Meh, his issues were not youthful indiscretions. I credit him for coming back from what he experienced. It is a helluva accomplishment. But he’s done. He aint winning again. And he is fully responsible for what happened to him.

It worked out pretty good for him

NOT a good driver

Tiger moves the needle. You can question him, laugh at him, make fun of his current game, etc….
But when he plays, people watch. And the PGA needs viewers. If he would of played Bay Hill (and made it 4 rounds) ratings would soar.
If you’re a player on the tour, any tour, you want him teeing up and lasting. Life is better when he plays. If he could somehow play once a month, golf would get a boost….it needs one.

He is a cheating steroid using drunk driver, great golfer so all is forgiven?

Yes.
And you're really speculating with the steroid use

I don’t give a shite that he’s those things, that’s not something I would ever think about. That’s my point, you caring about it is weird

During an appearance on OutKick's "Don't @ Me with Dan Dakich," former PGA Tour member Mark Lye was asked if people in the golf community knew about Woods allegedly using performance-enhancing drugs...[tweet]"Yes, that is," Lye said, via Fox News Digital. "It is except for the people in Tiger’s corner. ‘You better shut up about it.’ Nobody ever gone out like that. Nobody’s ever said that like I’m saying it right now. There’s just no doubt. And I would say about 80 or 90% of the people out there know something ain’t right."[/tweet]
speculating?. Compare his body from PGA 5th year to now, would make Barry Bonds blush

He may be on legal TRT, but he’s definitely on something. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

How would you know if he’s a good person? In public he’s done a ton more good than bad so even by the only standards you could judge him on you’re wrong. Don’t think any of his mistakes were malicious and if you think he’s the only golfer who’s ever cheated on his wife I’ve got a bridge to sell you.

Just some rambling thoughts.
I can separate the Tiger off-the course, and the Tiger on-the-course.
I wouldn't want any of the girls in my family anywhere near him, but he's fun to watch golf even when he's struggling. I also believe he won't ever win again. But what he was able to accomplish in golf was very rare.
I wonder had he not been caught with all the girls, and had he not trained the way he did and required all the surgeries, would he still be doing the same thing he was today. I believe he would be. There's not much you can respect about a man who cheated on his wife the way he did.
All in all though, it does look like he's a great father, and some respectable attributes there. In the end, these are athletes, and I don't believe you should teach your kids to look up to athletes solely due to their abilities. But they should look up to athletes who are discipline at their craft and discipline in their personal life. IMO Scheffler is a pretty good role model from what I can see.
