Thanks for posting this, I thought I had already applied but I must have missed the application.

I was lucky enough to get Monday practice round in 2018, and it was an unbelievable experience. I have been dying to go back ever since.

Saw a Golf Digest article that said you have a 0.5% chance to get tickets through the lottery process; better chance of getting hit by lightning.

Insert So You’re Saying Theres a Chance gif.

The sports betting resource estimates that 40,000 patrons attend each day of the tournament, of whom approximately 18,000 are weekly badge holders. That leaves 22,000 tickets in the lottery from Thursday to Sunday, with around two million applicants reckoned to be applying for two tickets each. That gives you odds of approximately 0.55% of winning The Masters lottery for a single day tournament ticket.

In other words, your chances of winning The Masters lottery are around 1 in 200.

At the most recent Masters Tournament in April, players priced at 200/1 before the tournament included JJ Spaun. So, basically, you have about as much chance of getting a Masters ticket through the lottery as JJ Spaun does of winning a Green Jacket.

I've actually been drawn twice. The first year I applied and the 3rd year I applied. I also got my FIL to put in and he got drawn. And had a buddy get drawn. All told I've gotten to go 3 times. Twice of which I bought BRgetthenet a hat, and mailed it to him. He was supposed to reciprocate, but that never happened

That's about how long I've been applying. Basically, since they've been taking on-line applications.

I apply for both me and my dad.

Not even a f*cking practice round!

Got to go to a practice round a few years back on a friend winning the lottery. Been applying for years no luck.

Here’s a thought.

Would anyone consider applying for women’s tickets just to go and see the course? My parents currently live in Augusta and have for the past 5 years or so. Haven’t received men’s tix yet but they got women's the year it was cancelled due to Covid. I’m sure it’s not as fun but you could walk the course and get merchandise.

My Dad is retiring this year and trying to volunteer there. Hope he gets some sort of hookup
