Thinking of getting reacquainted with controllers. Mainly for CoD. It seems as if the aim assist is really just that powerful. I know alot of you are on PS/Xbox, and I was wondering if the extra paddles/buttons may be worth it.

I've got the Strikeforce Dominator Mod Pack attachment for my Dualshock 4, but it's only limited to 2 paddles and that's it. A local Best Buy has an Elite controller on sale for $158.

Are these worth it, or are they gimmicks and standard controllers are work just fine? What are y'all using?

I hear they are great(haven’t tried one myself), but the Xbox ones are notorious for bad QC. Get the Best Buy warranty where they trade anything out on the spot if you get from there

I've absolutely loved mine, especially with the stick customization you can do. The Elite Series 2 has been very solid. Just got my 2nd one.

The bumpers are still pretty weak compared to the rest of the controller. That is the biggest gripe. If you are a bumper jumper type player, you'll wear through the bumpers.

The paddles are nice for sure. I run 2 on the left side and one on the right.

Get it from best buy and get the warranty for like an extra $50. Just before the 2 year warranty is up or whenever it starts feeling a little off, just take it back and say the bumpers aren't working, and you'll get a new one.

Yep. They just have a little plastic piece that connects them. it is a dumb design as the rest of the controller is really made solidly.

I don't have a huge problem with mine. After about a year and a half of some legit really, really heavy use mine was still working fine, but one bumper was starting to get a little sticky and so was one of the triggers. So, I took it in and got it replaced.

Buddy of mine is a bumper jumper so he has had more issues. We both play Destiny as our main game, so it is pretty intensive on the bumpers either way.

My buddy got a Scuff Xbox controller and likes it but said it's taking some getting used to. Having the paddles is a major adjustment but in the long run will help out.

I have an Elite 2 for Xbox. I enjoyed all of the customizable features it came with such as the different style joysticks, removable paddles, and that I could change up button layouts/sensitivity curves for joysticks on different profiles for different games.

However, about 4 months after purchasing, the LB and RB buttons starting registering as being pressed twice which is almost a death sentence in Warzone when trying to be quick on a buy. That's when I switched to mouse and keyboard for COD. Still works great for FIFA/some other games I play.

Overall I'd definitely get another one, but as others have said get an extended protection plan.

I love my Elite 2 but honestly sometimes the Y button doesn’t register when you click it and have to click it again, which is annoying. Also only use 2 out of the 4 paddles on the back.

Yeah they make all the difference in the world IMO I switched to a scuff prestige a couple years ago and it’s crazy how much of an advantage using paddles gives you.

Like someone else said. Get the warranty. Elite controller is awesome but the build quality not as good as the price tag. Sticks and bumpers break too often

Made improvements with build quality in the elite 2 over the 1 but I still don’t trust it

its a bit more expensive to set up but you could always use a normal controller but run it through xim and get foot pedals going with it

That's the one I bought to replace my elite controller that ended up with some unmanageable joystick drift. It feels well made and hasn't broken on me yet.
