I refer to websites that average scores together like metacritic and I will never read an entire review because I know companies get paid off.
I care more about reading reviews by average gamers who have played games so I read user reviews and message boards.
The only thing I look for in professional reviews is the section that talks about whether a game was a good or a lazy console port.

at this stage of the game, I tend to recognize what I like.
Oftentimes I will watch reviews if I feel like I need extra encouragement to piss away 60 bucks for a few fleeting moments of entertainment, but I generally know what I'm getting into before the well paid heavyweights offer their opinions.

My biggest problem with ign is that the ads take over. It's not a smooth experience at all

I generally ignore all video game reviews, but for news, I use siliconera, destructoid, and forums to get news.
Edit: I will say I enjoy GT's video reviews because they're generally pretty high quality. Do not use them to verify any purchasing decisions.

I just read that Blizzard has bout the IGN Pro League. Long story short expect nothing below a 9.5 on all blizzard games from here on out.
