I'm actually pretty glad that this board broke away from it's "FPS only" routine because you can actually get pretty good feedback from players here on any games.
The Dark Souls and Clash of Clans threads are proof of that.

Well it helps that we have entered the "I hate COD" time of year. We passed right through "old version X was better" and "this is pretty good".

IGN over Gamespot, but usually a combination of Youtube and whether or not it's on sale on Steam, which can trump anything.

I like Angry Joe as well as Total Biscuit. Both guys are very truthful about the game and don't pull punches.

Well, there aren't a ton of places that can host them as whatever church/venue they play at has to host around 20+spouses for 2-3 days. Hotel and food costs can get pretty pricey for something that won't bring in much if any revenue. That's why they can't do huge tours sadly.
