Top of my list has to be Rollercoaster Tycoon 2. I still play it to this day. The game has since been basically rewritten as OpenRCT2 to allow for a lot more flexibility.

Diablo 2, Starcraft, Age of Empires, Rainbow Six

I’ve seen StarCraft mentioned many times. A couple of friends and I still play SC:BroodWar on battle.net every Tuesday and Thursday night. The community is small but it’s still really easy to get games. Lobby wait times are less than a minute before we get a 3v3 BGH

I was addicted to the RCT games back in middle school and early high school.
It was always frustrating to design a badass roller coaster and then no one would ride it because it was too scary.
But then if I designed a coaster that would intentionally derail, folks would get on those with no hesitation...and then die.

Descent: Freespace - The Great War.
It had nothing to do with the original Descent game which is another one of my favorites. The sci-fi space shooter isn't a genre I played a whole lot of but this game was a lot of fun when I played it years ago.

Sim City 2000
Homeworld
All the damn Command and Conquers
But nothing will ever beat the day my friend was able to install Wolfenstein on our computers in Keyboarding my Junior year of High School. Man we looked forward to that class everyday and the teacher was just a warm body reading a book at her desk so we never got caught.

The CTF mod (not threewave) of regular maps and grappling hook were epic. I remember telling friends about online gaming and everyone talking shite back about how stupid it was and no one wanted that.
Told em it was a game changer.
I still play starcraft some and just picked up warcraft reforged. I loved RTS games as well

Command and Conquer series, spent a ton of hours on those.

Everquest. There was a 4 or 5 year period of my life where I was playing 40-50 hours per week while finishing high school and starting college. I was in Arch Overseers during the Velious through Planes of Power eras. We had more than a few world first kills.
