What does board make of coming FF9 remake and FF10-3 announcements

We can say with all positivity FF9 will be getting the 7 remake treatment. That game and tactics remastered are the only 2 of a massive list of the NViDIA leak not announced yet. My piece, I love 9 go for that shite but don’t butcher 10-3. 10-2 was fun for what it did and combat and stuff but this story is over.

FF9 remake is almost certain. Every single thing from NVIDIA leak across multiple AAA mid and indie devs have all been announced. SE just missing FF9 remake and Tacitcs war or the lions remaster

i did not play 9 or 10-2. id really only be interested in a potential 9 remake myself since i missed the first go round.

Yeah the FFX story was done and dusted after first one. I do think 10-2 has one of the most addictive battle systems ever made but 10-3 will likely flop. Let it rest mate.
9 so sadly got overlooked launching on ps1 after ps2 has already hit shelf’s. It’s such a good game returning to high fantasy and says deep deep shite about life

FF9 is one of the best Final Fantasy games ever made. If they keep the art style, this thing could look like a playable Pixar movie (which would be absolutely amazing)

Meh imo 9 is far shorter than 7 or 8 and much easier. Just watch out for un assuming sheep in a forest. It uses ATB but has 4 party members at all times possible. Limit break is also useless just don’t worry about “trance.” It s not really a world map trotting adventure. I mean there is but by time you get to that point you have air travel or ship travel mostly. If you just look up a guide for the secret dungeon the big bad sends you to where your best weapons don’t work it shouldn’t take 25-30 hours

I just don’t see what they think they’d get out of a 9 remake. The remaster that came out a few years ago I think still looks pretty good. Yeah it’s a ps1 era game but it was at close to the end of that systems life and they had it looking really good on it. The original 7 benefited greatly from the remake. It’s also a lot of resources to put into something I don’t see a lot of people clamoring for like there was for a 7 remake.
For a X-3, maybe Kitase has a story he wants to tell. Idk but I’m not sure I’ll care about it.

Beat 9 for the first time about 4 years ago. Amazing game and probably my 2nd favorite FF after 8. Only complaint was how easy the endgame was. I was stupid over powered by the end and even ozma only took a handful of tries

FF8 was way too fricking hard to understand without a phd in it. And I know the story now and it’s amazing. Junction sucked dick. It’s a great game but it had such bad luck behind 7

And just to clarify a full on FF7 remake rebirth hasn’t been confirmed via leak. Just a remake and it could be akin to the memoria project

it’s my favorite mostly because it’s the first one I ever played as a kid so I didn’t even notice the flaws it had. I refused to play the remaster so I wouldn’t ruin my memories of it as a kid. That story back then just had me so roped in, I faked sick from school and made it to disc 3 in a day lol
