Idk bout that. The storyline and ending were pretty awesome IMO. The graphics were the best I'd have ever seen. It did a good job of making you feel like you were playing in some ridiculously massive world, even though it didn't take that long to cross it on the horse.

Killing a Colossus over and over............yeah, that part is repetitive. But the great part was the exploration of how exactly you take each one down or find the way to climb up it.

Definitely not overrated. Under, if anything.

Spyro: Ripto's Rage was my addiction as a child, pretty much every plastic army man game, and the original super smash brothers

With everyone looking back at that game with the nostalgia-glasses I highly doubt that games is under-rated now.

Well, I think it's more appreciated now, but I usually make those assessments (underrated or not) when the game actually is released.

For a game to get no attention at that point, and after the fact get a solid following..........to call it overrated is a reach IMO.

DOOM
C&C
Halflife/CS
SOCOM
MW
Mass Effect

Each one of these games represented a shift in gaming for me. Lots of other great games but these stand out for me.

Forgot about MGS4. Amazing game. Probable one of the only games without trophy support that I played through more than once. 3 times to be exact.

I was so lost at the end of 4. So much dialogue and exposition that I just wanted to power down and play through it again. Loved the game, but way too many cut scenes.

Was I the only person who loved the old Rainbow 6 PC games (1, 2, Urban Assault)?

Not the more recent COD clones; the old arse ones where you had to actually take the time before each mission to map out your assault with way-points, hold points, go-signals, etc, for two squads, then lead one on the actual assault.

The gameplay was less than perfect, but the concept (realistic anti-terror/hostage rescue) was fuggin awesome.
