What are your settings/hardware again?
I've been able to get 60+ fps now, except while driving when it goes into the 40s. I have everything maxed out in the Graphic Quality tab, except I'm using HBAO+ low. In the Display tab, I have FXAA on but overridden by settings I plugged into CCC. Not sure if those are actually working through. I also have the Texture option set to High instead of Ultra in the Display tab. I think the Ultra texture setting is broken, at least at 1440p. It puts a massive hit on frame-rate but doesn't take full advantage of my 4GB vram.
I've overclocked my 290 a fair amount as well. 1250/1500 on a single card. Despite the new 14.6 beta drivers, crossfire is still pretty useless for this game. Yes, it scales past 50% on each card now, but only with 4x MSAA enabled, which appears to have a memory leak issue associated with crossfire. Increasing my pagefile size helped, but that shouldn't even happen in the first place with 16GB of system memory.
Also, the two cards do not scale correctly or effectively. When looking around the city at traffic, activity, etc., my framerate plummets to the 40s and my GPU usage is in the 50-60% per card range. But if I look at the ground, or a wall (basically anything that isn't difficult to render), my framerate goes into the 90s-100+ fps range and my GPU usage on each card also hits the 90+% range. Obviously, the opposite should happen with the GPUs.
Seems like an AMD problem, but Nvidia users are having similar issues even though this is one of those NVidia/Developer incest games.

Online trailing is so much fun.

I will have to look when I get home, how do you monitor your FPS while in-game? I am only running 1080 so that may be a big difference.
I have the graphics options set to ultra and have not done any customization. xfire saphire 7950 hd 3 gig oc at 975/1300

The way multiplayer is implemented is awesome.
I'm just minding my own business and all of a sudden someone online is hacking me and I hunt them down and blast them in the head before their hack completes, then I have the urge to start playing online exclusively and ignore the main story for hours at a time.
Watch_dogs is getting so much internet hate, but is really a fresh as hell game. It's just unfairly getting compared directly to the GTA series, and to me it's way more refreshing than GTAV, as good at that game was.
I love that in-game using the profiler I've run across a person who "trolls video game forums online" bc that to me sums up 90% of the bad reviews of the game.

Yeah I'm a little disappointed that they ignored a lot of beta feedback about online hacking. As it stands it is impossible to hack someone because the search zone narrows on top of your head by the time the progress reaches 70 percent. You'd have to be an idiot to not find someone at that point.

I agree, it's ridiculous. The only thing you mentioned that I disagree with is the controls. I use a controller on my pc and the driving mechanics still suck. Plenty of people on PS4 have told me the same thing. I've only played 2 hours of it though so it may get better.
I never understood this. I found the GTAV map to be too spread out and boring. It was wasted space to me.

I've seen a ton of people talking about the driving mechanics being shite, "arcadey" (seems that's the buzz word) poor, etc.
I just don't get it. I've played every GTA, Saints Row, etc game since the beginning and I'm able to drive just fine in WatchDogs, in fact in some cases I prefer it.
Does "Arcadey" mean the controls are not as "Realistic" as GTA or something? Bc honestly I'm having a blast.
After the mission where you have to "Stealth drive" by turning the engine off and hiding, etc, from the cops, and I was able to complete the mission on my vita, I came to the conclusion that the entire driving being "terrible" is a huge internet troll-job.

you mean you didn't enjoy driving 20 miles from the rural countryside to Los Santos and taking 15 minutes of time IRL just driving?

Exactly, I never understood it. To me when they started getting biger maps in San Andreas, that is when the series lost some of the fun to me. That's a conversation for another day though.

we will have to agree to disagree. I will say though that many people I know, who are not trolling, have voiced this concern. Perhaps we haven't played it enough though because these were all initial thoughts.

I enjoy the driving quite a bit. Pretty good at it too.

I think it has a lot to do with the delay. The hype was off the charts and when everyone found out the game looked worse than it did at E3 even with the delay, Ubisoft was never going to get let off the hook. I picked it up yesterday but haven't been able to play it much yet. It certainly looks underwhelming visually compared to inFamous but I honestly don't care. It still looks fun from the little I've played. Also, it seems like bashing every new release on the new gen consoles is a thing now.

I think the graphics are pretty damn good. The main character reminds me of the main guy off person of interest.
Is that his voice?

Pretty awesome I'd say. Can be a tad overwhelming at times but I'm enjoying it. Everyone shitted on the graphics, but the game looks great imo. Hacking is fun as hell.

is there a particular part of the game you have to reach before unlocking the multiplayer stuff? Im on the 2nd or 3rd main mission (spoiler - at his sons birthday party) and still haven't had the opportunity to hack someone/be hacked
