I've gotten to the point that if I want to try it I do, I trust people on here more than I do other sites but even then I don't let it stop me.
anandtech is absolutely killing this game and uplay, sadly most of them are regurgitating what they have read somewhere else.

Prolly already there.
The game is fun so far, I just made it to the hidout. Running it on ultra and no issues and I agree that the graphic are not the horror show people are complaining about.
Driving is a little clunky not unbearable, the cop AI is pretty bad so far in cars.

I remapped the controls and now I think the driving + focus is a lot of fun. Much prefer cartoony driving to trolley cart full of rocks that gta driving is

Was a bit of trial and error for me finding the best controls that work for me. Now I'm having a blast. I don't really understand why the Internet is having a bitchfit over this game.

When it comes to PC optimization, Watch Dogs really makes Assassin's Creed III look like a Valve game. It far and away wins the award for worst PC implementation since GFWL.
Ubisoft has really Ubisofted the frick out of this one. I'm actually impressed at how bad they fricked it considering the hype about it being made for PC.

I started it earlier. I got back to the hideout and had to stop for a minute when I heard a lightning strike that sounded a little too close for comfort. I haven't had time to mess with settings yet but ultra is not happening

Well I had planned on being a good guy but seeing all the assholes through the hacking feature made me take out a few people. Needless to say that has led to a less than stellar reputation.
