Been thinking about getting a Vive because I wanna play fallout and Skyrim and the blade and sorcerer game

I don’t think it’s worth 1400 bucks for the pro though

Anybody have experience with the Vive over the oculus?

Resident Evil 7 is the most unique gaming experience of my old arse life. Problem is they didn't port it to PC.

If you have money to burn. VR is fun. It is built for horror games.

Problem is none of the big guys are making new games for VR.

I do want to give Borderlands 2 a shot at some point. Waiting for price drop.

I've heard good things about Skyrim and Fallout 4 but I have played those to death.

I bought a PS VR and it’s really cool. Problem is, there’s not many good games available

Astro Bot Rescue Mission is supposed to be the best VR game out. Fairly new. Check it out if you like those types of games.

i love it. its a really fun experience. all your friends will enjoy it also.

i have psvr though. Beat Saber is amazing. Lack of songs limit its replay ability though. If Farpoint is on vive then that is a really fun VR shooter with friends.

Astrobot and Superhot are my two favorite games. Superhot is truly an experience in VR

I've had a little experience with the Oculus, none with the Vive. Looking at the specs though it seems they are balanced against one another with the only major difference coming down to play area (the Oculus maxes out at 8' x 8' -if you buy the additional sensor for $60- while the Vive can go up to 15' x 15' right out of the box). The Vive also has a small bit of real-world collision work (hardware and software) to help you avoid punching your wall.

While there may still be some Oculus games you can't get for Vive, the Oculus can access Viveport as well as its own store and Steam (Vive started out decided to not restrict players to just games on their platform, Oculus has moved to that stance).

Other than that Vive is running around $500 and Oculus is around $400.

Pretty much everything I've seen says the pro is really actually aimed at professionals and not just called "pro" to signal that it's better.

I haven't seen a single review saying the pro is worth it for a consumer

Pretty cool game that plays sorta like you are Neo. Everything around you only moves when you move so you have to figure out how to kill the targets and survive without getting hit by people shooting at you

There are a bunch of fun physics engine fighter games I’ve been enjoying. Blade & Sorcery is fun, and so is Gorn

I forgot to ask. Do you ever get carsick?

The motion sickness is real. Your brain can't quite figure out what is going on.

You can push past the sickness. I only played 30 minutes the first time. Then more the next night. Then more the next night. Then finally I could play as long as I wanted.

Even then, I still had a little mild unsettling queasy feel. Didn't have much time to worry about it as I was trying to keep from being killed by the Baker family.

I have had a vive for over a year now. Skyrim and fallout are great and most of the mods still work with it. The first game you should buy is "Gorn" from the steam store it is absolutely the most fun you will have with it. My only problem is I almost tear my house down when I play it. I wish I had a big empty room just for VR set up. I upgraded my graphics card when I bought mine to 1080. I've had no issues at all.
If you ever wanted to be this guy, Gorn is your chance. You. An literally tear someone's arm off and beat them to death with it. Its great!

Did you get the deluxe audio head strap? Mine came with it in a package deal. It's worth it. If you didn't you should, I know it's hard to sink another 100 into it but it's a must for me.

No

Or maybe. I’ll check it when it gets here. It seems like we’re in some kind of elite group over regular console and pc peasants

I just picked up the new updated PSVR model borderlands 2 bundle.

I have re7 still and I played the entire game in VR, best gaming experience I've ever had

Borderlands 2 in VR is impressive, and a bonus bc I've never played the game at all.

Next week I'm getting super hot, accounting (Justin roiland), Rick and Morty vr, and Skyrim
