You are against it because you suck at it

quote:

The Entertainment Software Association is a lobbying group for a number of major companies, including Electronic Arts and Microsoft. These companies' products -- "Call of Duty," "Halo" and other "first-person shooter" games -- have come under criticism in the wake of the Newtown, Conn. massacre last month. It has been widely reported that the killer, Adam Lanza, was "obsessed" with video games, and police found thousands of dollars worth of violent video games while searching his house.

quote:

Wayne LaPierre, president of the NRA, criticized the media for ignoring "a callous, corrupt and corrupting shadow industry that sells, and sows, violence against its own people ... through vicious, violent video games with names like Bulletstorm, Grand Theft Auto, Mortal Kombat and Splatterhouse."

I wonder if he took his daughter to see "Hunger Games" (no guns used to kill people) or Expendables 2 ( all sorts of guns killing people)

fricking hypocrite

How about neither?

Frick these dumb arse poli-tards that think legislating video games will solve a psychiatric problem.

Crazy people should be allowed to play games. Maybe it would help pent up frustrations.

You can apply the same " dont frick with me Im innocent" complaint to video games movies and IRL firearms

Agreed. Just saying which I preferred they took away. Not that I think either will make any difference at all. American culture is what breeds violence.

Soldiers with PTSD are often encouraged to play video games as a release, as well.

I would say that both are protected by the constitution but we all know that doesn't matter to Democrats.

We live in a country where minority instances ruin the majority's privileges. You know how many kids that play video games "way too much" DIDN'T kill people this year? I'm willing to bet it's exponentially more kids than will wind up doing something insane.

Video games are just another hair trigger scape goat instead of blaming shitty parents and lack of education on how to diagnose, treat and overcome chemical imbalances that cause mental illnesses.

Agree.

Crazy peoples acsess to firearms seems to be a bigger concern than military simulaton video games. shite if
You want to blame the mediums then blame books or magazines too. Because just the other day I was reading Game of Thrones and decided to go burn down a village with my dragons

here's a tip for you Joe, IT'S JUST A frickING GAME! Any normal person doesn't want to go out and kill people, after play COD for a few hours. The guy (Adam Lanza) had major problems, and it had nothing to do with violent video games.

Biden can kiss my arse and my 300+ games library. Doesn't matter developers outside of the US can still make games if he does some crazy shite, it will only hurt the US market.

surely all of the problems that beset our society will be washed away with the elimination of video games and guns.

Those two great evils need to be eradicated so our country can flourish!

I have always said that there are certain people that straddle the line between what is real and fantasy. before video games there was Dungeons and Dragons. there were guys that would get so into it that they would go over the edge and commit suicide. People were blaming D&D for this. I have played all the military games and never once did I feel like going postal on someone. I race in games pretty much everyday but that doesn't make me want to drive any faster going to work. Where does it end. Do we ban cars cause of accidents? Baseball games because of bats? Ban anything that can possibly hurt someone?
