apparently gamepass PC people can change their timezone in contorl panel and play, but pre orders can't. im about to try with an EU timezone when it gets to 8pm EST, actually.

I'm so shocked, US players crashed the servers...
Got to play from 130-3, had to go solo because galleon matchmaking was terrible. Learned a bit. Found enough skulls teas and powder kegs to level all 3 factions while doing treasure quests.
Only made about 1500, it's 13.5K to get a shotty, but they're OP so worth.
The stream I watched had all fat characters and they kept getting dolled on so I made my pirate extra skinny. Not sure if hit boxes are different.

Go on your boat. Your armory comes with a blunder bust. You don’t have to buy one. All the stuff you buy are skins

Guess I didn't explore my sloop enough. Hoping to find a crew this evening and level bounty hunters. When playing w crew is the money split, does the person that turns items in (skulls, tea ) get the cash, or does everyone get full price?

Depends on your preference. Last night was good for me bc I was learning and server issues kept the populace down. I only found 1 other sloop, righthmm before bed. Stole a powder keg from their ship while they were docked, sold it, and then fought them twice.
I'm sure this evening populace will be higher and pvp will be more common.
Didn't blow me away but it's pretty cool. I'll get my money's worth. I like that your character progression saves and you can just play with a different crew every session or solo/duo if you want

Game can seem bland, especially if you put a bunch of hours into alpha and beta. But all future content will be free so if you think it's that boring go offer some ideas on the reddit. Most of the current game was built around what the community wanted so it's pretty safe to assume they'll keep giving what is asked for.
I'm gonna treat it kinda like BDO. Max everything I can progression wise so the new content is easier and less Grindy.
