Trailer

If you didn't play the first one, probably one of the best RPGs of its time.

(Didn't see any threads come up in the search)

I've heard really good things about the first but I never played it. Guess I need to get on that.

I remember playing one of these games a long time ago and I stopped because people seemed to really expect you to role play in online mode and I was too weirded out.

Um, Bloodlines 1 did not have an online mode.
Bloodlines 2 hasn't been released yet.

Not sure what game you're thinking of.

VtM:B 1 was a great RPG. I still play it on occasion. I will likely get 2, but I am not going to pre-order or anything like that. Unfortunately, the original studio, Troika Games, is gone so I am fearful on how faithful the new team will be to the original. The first game gave a lot of room for playing your character, alternative solutions to quests, and setting the scene.

If they can keep most of that it should be a winner.

I hope they do not change too much. You could give me a polished version of VtM and I'd be happy

If you’ve never played the game with the full blown content restoration mod, you should.

I never finished it back in the day. Think my old shitty computer started crapping out more and more, and maybe I didn't like the bugs.

Loved the single player of VtM: Redemption.

Played the pen-and paper White Wolf World of Darkness games, and still own quite the library of those books.

Crazy the momentum the World of Darkness has rebuilt after Onyx Path Publishing and DriveThruRPG started print on demand, and publishing 20th Anniversary editions, of the classics.

There's this news after White Wolf was resurrected and came out with a 5th edition of Vampire.

Edit to add: Parts of the game's story, including NPC appearances and plot points, fits into the overall metaplot canon for the tabletop game. I wonder if the new game is a direct sequel, taking place in the old metaplot, or going to use the updated metaplot since Vtm: 20th/5th edition came out.

I recommend Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines to any RPG fan. It's in my tGOAT games along with KOTOR, Baldur's Gate, etc.

The immersion is real. Play it and you will not be disappointed.

Initial release was bug af and unplayable due to company folding and force release.

Since then... a community developed of fans and awesome talent that carried that torch.

They patched the game, made awesome mods, etc.

GOG version now, which I think includes all patching is $5... best $5 ever spent in your gaming life.
