I didn’t hear them say it was exclusive? But it might be. Idk I was mainly watching to see if we got any ff9/persona/silk song. Which we didn’t. But I’m not inspired to go out and buy a switch 2 either. Switch is like my third console anyway. I just hope the Nintendo fans are pleased

Ok, so only versions at launch are a normal edition and a normal edition bundled with Mario Kart World.

Agreed. I was going to pre-order but nothing Day 1 has caught my eye.
Ending with Donkey Kong is a choice too. No new 3d Mario and the new Zelda is a Dynasty Warriors game? Disappointing.

No price? No pre-order? Maybe that's coming later today on the website. I'm a little disappointed to finally get windwaker and it be the GameCube version. The hd version has some solid quality of life updates. Maybe they are holding it back for the 40th anniversary next year. I'm guessing we get a 3D Mario announcement around September.

Hyrule Warriors is garbage but the Age of Calamity sequel was fantastic.

A 3-D donkey Kong was way overdue IMO. I'm excited about that game. Doesn't have the same draw as Mario or Zelda but that was pretty awesome.
I will say though that Mario Kart blew my expectations out of the water. It truly felt like something new for the series even if it wasn't new to a racing game.
I'm also curious about these upgrade fees. We've got a switch 1 and two switch lites in the house. Some of these games if I don't already own them, it may be worth buying the original and paying the upgrade fee depending on the price. Also, game share looks cool.

Yeah. We will be getting this thing day one for Mario kart and donkey Kong. Those games look unreal. System looks awesome.

It does look really interesting. Looks like they will have a dedicated Direct for it in about two and a half weeks. I'm not sure it is a direct replacement for MK8 though. We'll have to learn more about it later this month.
I imagine I will get the MKW bundle on day 1 as well as the BotW and ToTK upgrade packs because I hate myself.

Besides $449 for the base model, they are also offering one with Mario Kart for $499.

I plan on waiting it out probably 6 months to a year minimum because I don’t see a killer app for me at the moment.
At least one of my kids may upgrade because they are a Zelda and Pokemon fanatic. Their current Switch is beat to shite anyway so upgrading isn’t necessarily a horrible thing.

Ooh. Nintendo Online+Expansion Pack subscribers get the ToTK and BotW upgrade packs for free. That's nice of them since it doesn't provide any new in-game content. I'll take it.

How large are the average Nintendo games in terms of storage? It seems nuts to me a system that is $449 is shipping with just 256gb in 2025. You can get double the storage for like $20 extra on the open market
