These idiots focusing solely on short term profits are just killing capitalism.

Ahh, the ol' popular Klaus Schwab mindset.

Thank goodness that nobody actually listens to Ubisoft.

Something like GTA is another story considering they seem to remove portions of every installment when people get outraged.

They're going to do that with patches anyway.

I'd say you can just not download the patches but nowadays it seems like you end up with a broken buggy mess if you don't get the patches.

What, you didn't like open world Valhalla where you travel for 30 minutes across an unused landscape, doing nothing in-between?

Ubisoft's peak was Assassins Creed 2 and Far Cry 3

I don't know if you've given the modern AC games a try, but mechanics wise they they blow those original ones out of the water. Origins is a personal favorite.

And Far Cry 5 :chef's kiss:

FarCry 5 is also my personal favorite.

Mainly because I can drive 30 minutes east of where I live and I'm in the real world equivalent of Hope Valley.

To include the bears, wolves, and mountain lions.

Ubisoft can get comfortable kissing a lot of people's asses if this is their stance.

Ubisoft needs to get comfortable not getting a penny from me.

If people wouldn’t be so into pre-ordering shitty games and instead just wait until it comes out
Go even further than that. We all know most games aren't completed products on release anyway. It's literally a win-win as a consumer. You get a better product for a cheaper price if you just turn off the monkey brain need to be on the cutting edge of entertainment. I completely avoided the shitshow with Cyberpunk AND paying full price for it just by having patience.

If I can play all the games available for $5.99 a month sign me the frick up, but that is not what they are providing, it's $100 a year for a single game...

Spending full price hasn't made sense in more than a decade b/c of how damn fast everything drops in price. It's even more so on a digital store b/c it only takes a few times of going on one to notice that pretty much everything goes on sale 3-4 times a year. The only company that usually refuses to drop the price for several years, if at all, is Nintendo.

We've already gotten comfortable not owning games with digital copies and Steam.

I've always seen it as purchasing a license/keys to play the game vs actually ownership of the game.

Origins and black flag are my favorites. I liked odyssey too. Valhalla was just alright. Mirage was pretty terrible I thought.
