Trying to find old game: WWII simulator

I don't remember a lot about the game, other than:
1. It has to be at least 10-15 years old, minimum
2. It was on PC
3. You could be in a large number of vehicles, including being a gunner/pilot/bombardier on a B-52.
Anyone remember a game like this?

There was/is a Russian Small 2 man fighter bomber where you can pilot or be rear gunner called IL2-Sturmovik. Can ply various other nations select aircraft.
I bought original CD back in like 1997 or so but they keep adding and remodeling and keeping it up to date I hear.
It's a flight sim with guns/bombs, and strafing runs, ground attack, air combat.

I'm here... just not sure I'll be able to figure it out. I even went through the Wikipedia list of PC games set in WWII, and no luck. Checked the ones listed here, and none of them look like what I remember.

Fly aces high?
It’s a large multiplayer game that you have to pay like $15 a month for. You get the free trial for a week.
They have literally just about every plane that flew during WW2 in that game. Tanks too. I’m not sure about a b-52 because that’s definitely not WW2 haha. But they have every bomber from every nation during that period. And you can switch from the pilot/gunners/bombardier. This game would be my guess

I remember the days when AOL had a military game called Air Warrior. You could fly, drive, and run around in a large scale open-world battle. Graphics were awful but it was a lot of fun.

I think this is it.
Apparently they have Aces High III, which is still getting updates.

I played it last month. It seems to be going downhill. Graphics/skins on the planes aren’t any better in my opinion then 10 years ago. I remember when the lobby would be close to full with 300-400 people. Now it barely gets to a hundred. I love the events they throw sometimes that recreate massive b-17 bombing missions.
