Not a complaint, but the side quests are overwhelming. The the number of them in every area makes it pretty damn stressful and time consuming.

I'm only skipping the side quest cut scenes. I've only been exploring and doing side quest it's been a few days since I've done the main mission.

That mission took me a few times to get. That thing is massive. Here is a hint : looking for the glow on your screen to where the snake will strike from. It is a white gold light and the snake will come from that direction. Have good aim with the bow and move around a lot.

I loved Black Flag, but I've gotten to the point where I won't even play Ubisoft games because their software reuse is so transparent between games that I feel like Im playing the same game with a different skin and some different mechanics every time. From the map construction, to the lookout points, to the sidequests. I hate that template they've been refining so much.
Did they break that whole mold on this too?

Edt: FYI I was in the same boat until Origins. AC was trash just like the Uncharted series but they started to turn it around with this one.

I read the other replies but most changes seemed focused on combat and environment rather than the template specific I mentioned. If the combat and environment are great but the cookie cutter shite is still there im not interested.

So the only thing I've done so far is explore and a few side quest. I hit level 40 and have rolled over a few times just from the exploring. The world is massive.
I'm a little nervous, I've looked over the map 3 times now but I can't find any question marks not discovered or locations I haven't completed and I haven't got the achievement for completing all the locations yet. I have put 20 hours into just exploring and a few side missions.
I will be hooking up the LG oled c7 tomorrow and finishing on that. Should look even better
