I miss my first group of online gaming buddies more so than IRL friends. Esp the ones I spent 12hrs day everyday talking with on Vent/TS.
City Heroes is where my core group of online friends came from during the early 2000s. CoX was shutdown in 2012, we all sort of stayed in touch but sometimes they just don't log back on .. the worst.
The ole lady and I send this pic to each other when we are fighting. Lines us out real quick.

I'll never forget my old raiding buddies in EQ and the accomplishments we shared. We had a couple of world firsts that are RL noteworthy su h as sleeper awakening, etc.

One of my former WoW guildies died a few years ago from an aggressive form of carcinoma. I haven't played since 2010, but we all stayed in touch on social media. Felt like a gut punch.

I never actually experienced the loss or disappearance of a gamer friend. I always played with friends when I was younger, but in Destiny1 I found a raid group that eventually turned into a good group of like 15 guys that I still play shite with today.
Everyone still pretty much gets on a few days a week and party’s up.
