I understand that you probably really enjoy the game. And if you do, that's fine.
But I believe you should be understanding of why people have had legitimate problems with this game.
First of all, there is no such thing as a perfect game. All games have flaws and it's dishonest to hide them. The reason we know major critics are paid off is because they have history of reviewing games solely on production value.
They are not going to give a high profile game a bad review because doing so will lose them immediate access to the company producing it. It's so obvious that gaming journalism is paid off because they have a vested interest in always supporting the studios for their own well-being. It isn't necessarily financial, but it ultimately supports their lifestyle.
It's not a 0 out of 10, but it certainly is a 7 out of 10 at best. It's a STORY DRIVEN NARRATIVE. Graphics aren't everything and everyone knew it would have high production value.
As for Joel dying, everyone expected that. They just didn't like the circumstances and the way it was written. The marketing for the games was extremely misleading. They intentionally swapped models in order to create an illusion that certain characters would play a more active role in the game. I don't care as much about this, but it's worth a mention.
The story is all over the place. I never felt bad for Abby AT ALL. I see what they are trying to do, but the intro sequence and other actions she performs ruins any attempt to humanize her. If anything it's a symptom of bad storytelling and bad sequence of events. The best scenes are typically those with Ellie a Joel Flashbacks.

I am nearing the end of the game, those of you not buying it are robbing yourself of a great game, I feel sorry for you. Outside of Abby in Macho Man's body there is nothing that is wrong, and they don't force anything on you.
Abby's reason for killing Joel is legit, I would'nt do the same but not in that way though.

Don’t care, didn’t buy this game to play as Abbey. False advertisement.

Played an hour and a half. Don’t need to play any more of this garbage.

As soon as I am done, I am going to do a replay. Your loss.

Maybe TLOU3 will feature time travel and we can retcon everything in TLOU2

So you would slowly torture someone beating them to death with a golf club ???
You’re an a-hole...how about you watch while I beat your family to death with a golf club??? Is that great gameplay narrative?

I'm beginning to think you and dogfan are just trolling. Multiple posters have given you valid reasons why they dislike the game. You are free to disagree.
For the last time, it isn't that Joel died. It's how the story was written in response to it.
You are supposed to feel bad for Abby. But many people do not. Throughout the game Abby shows little empathy. Personally I can't sympathize with her. The cutscenes try to humanize her but it simply isn't enough to justify how she is behaving, especially when you consider that she already got revenge on Joel.
Her being buff (which can lead to another discussion on how unrealistic it is in a post-apocalyptic world) isn't even relevant to the story.

I just actually finished the game, the biggest gripe is that yeah you don't get to play as Ellie 100% of the time... But whatever, the way the story builds to a singular meeting by showing you the build up from one side and then the other makes a lot of sense for a game about revenge.
Combat system was more polished from 1, but gun play is still tough (granted it's a survival game where you're super limited on ammo, if guns are your primary it's gonna be rough)
Setting was super nice, Seattle looks great.
Ending is pretty sad for a character you're invested in.

May I interject? You don’t have to play the game to comment on the story. I watched an entire play through as I’m sure many commenting have as well. Or at least they probably watched a good portion of it. You can’t comment on gameplay, but you can certainly comment on everything else.
