This might be the first time in the history of the internet that these words have been written in this order.

I’ve always tried to keep an open mind about things. I don’t think you properly learn when you think your opinion is right and everyone else’s is wrong.

it doesnt nail its pacing like the first did. seems like a lot of sections go on for a bit too long

This is my only complaint so far but its a big one. I'm only in chapter 3 and it seems like I'm spending 60% of my time wandering through the same empty areas looking for shite with bits of combat here and there. Maybe its my play style that I like to explore every nook and cranny. Does the pacing get better in your opinion? It just feels like more of a slog than the first.

beginning is really slow and awfully paced. cant believe test audiences didnt tell them that. it gets a lot better once you get to seattle. one really cool section thats lke a big sandbox with tons of different spots you can explore (bank, music store, shite like that). can find all kinds of clues and documents that lead you to different spots with loot stashes and shite. gets more linear after that.

the first game did a great job of building up to encounters with sections of traversal/looting/minor fights, then cutting you loose in an area with multiple enemies and ways to take them out.

in 2, they string the latter sequences together and you really start to feel the length. you'll get through a big combat sandbox and be ready for a breather with some more exploration and looting, only to be thrown into yet another combat sandbox or two. just doesn't feel as competently crafted

still enjoying it though

I just played it after downloading a cheap copy of Last of Us and falling in love with the game.

Last of Us 2 was an absolute brutal, cinematic ride. It also highlights how toxic the gamer community can be because there was no reason for the controversy that surrounded this game.

There’s no fricking way there’s gonna be a LoU3

Who would even play it?

An Abbey/Lev story in California would be awesome. And then introduce and older, grizzled Ellie like they did with Joel.

think they should’ve killed Abby.

I think it was more about Ellie at that moment realizing that everything she had done had been for nothing and killing Abby would do nothing but continue the cycle of violence. Knowing that Lev was there as well as Abby sparing her life earlier. Abby started the cycle by killing Joel although technically you could say Joel started it. It only felt right for Ellie to stop it

There should’ve been two different endings in my opinion. Let the player choose peace or violence. At the end I wanted to spare Abby but I should’ve had the choice.
