After watching the show I have an itch to replay TLOU. My question is do I play the remake that I have already or was the recent Part 1 release actually worth the $$$?

It’s the same game updated for the ps5. I already bought the first one and the remaster (though for less than $15 each). I’m not spending $70 on the new one.

For sure, it's a lot different than the actual first game as it uses tlou2 engine and movements, ai, etc.

Idk what it goes for now though but I wouldn't spend over $40 on the remake. That's about the sweet spot imo.

I bought the original and the remastered version for the PS4. I just can’t buy the same game a third time.

Same here. I was hoping for a sale but with the show starting I seriously doubt that will happen now. I can’t believe they want $70 for it. I’d pay $20-$30.

I played the original when it came out and just bought the remastered PS5 version for a replay. It looks and plays amazing.

Isn't it free in the PS essential collection?

The original remaster is. Not the remake, aka Part I

Is Part 1 on Steam redone from ground up?

Part 2 gets a lot of hate on here. Initially reading the plot, I wasn’t intrigued but it was pretty well done. I would play it

it is very well done. i was a guy didn't buy the game because of the spoilers/leaks. when i finally bought it on sale I was shocked how much I loved the game. I wouldn't have them change it at all.

the flashback scenes with Joel were my favorite parts of the game though probably.

I'd rate it as a top 5 game of the past 10 years

Good information. I hope it pops up in the playstation plus list. There was a lot of hate about it and I have forgotten a lot about it tbh. Just know the lesbian stuff.

It's a value proposition. I'd say it's worth buying the remake if you haven't played through the original, or if you have played the original perhaps it has been several years.

I would try to find it for $40 - $50. I'd only sniff it for $70 if I absolutely had never played the game before.
