Well at the very least the game itself looks fantastic graphics wise and Ellie is obviously beating Abby with that golf club so maybe the ending isn't completely spoiled

My question is why the frick would you want to control Abby? That would be like if Ganondorf killed Link halfway through the game and then you play as Ganon and hunt down Zelda for the rest of the game.

Look, Kojima got away with it in MGS2. As much griping as people made about Raiden, it's still probably the best in the series, and an all time PS2 game.

Yeah I agree with this. Or you start with Elle but as you progress it swaps perspective with Abby and both storylines collide.

I'm just saying that people lost their mind at first, but after the complete experience, I think most got over it because it was just a great game.
I don't know what's what with this story (did someone mention a lot of this is a dream sequence), but maybe it will surprise.
Or not. I think most here have made up their mind about it, and I probably wasn't getting this anyways, but I'm curious as to what the final product will actually be.

Oh, I’m still getting this day one. The gameplay looks great; a marked improvement from the spotty AI mess from the first game.
Either I’ll be pleasantly surprised by the narrative or I’ll be able to say I was there for the shitshow, just like TLJ

I said earlier in this thread, reviews will determine when I get it. If the gameplay is stellar, I don’t mind getting near launch. Anything else, it’s a bargain bin pickup
