someone explain how to do this hack on diamonds before they fix it, please.

It's my understanding that it could only be done with items that you're encountering for the first time and are marked ???, but if others are experiencing something different, that would be welcome news.

I believe this is dependent on only having one open weapon slot, as well.

I need to try this before Nintendo patches it out.

To be fair, the Yiga I encountered in the first depth I entered told me that's how you light up the caves.

After the first Depths encounter launched at Lookout Landing, are you on your own for where to explore next, Upside-Down-wise?

I use a method with bows to dupe diamonds.

Equip bow. Attach diamond to arrow. Pause. Drop bow in inventory. Select a new bow. Hit pause twice quickly. Should see diamond attached to the new bow in inventory screen. Drop second bow. Unpause and pick up dropped bows. Should have an extra diamond.

There are YouTube vids if you need more detail or a video example.

I think, for the most part, you are. I still haven't advanced the plot at all. Without giving too much away, I have run into random stuff on the sky islands and on the ground that tells you locations to visit underground.

I re-played BotW just before TotK was released. Basically went from a large map with very little to do in-between to an absurdly huge world with, dare I say, entirely too much to do.

I feel like I've played a ton over the past week and still haven't advanced the main story. The new mechanics are great, the shrines are more interesting, and there's like an infinite amount more to explore.

So far, it's exceeded my expectations by a lot. I loved BotW, but like someone else mentioned earlier in the thread, now it feels like BotW was just a very basic rough draft of TotK.

Or just throw them and save the arrow.

I blow myself up less when I use the arrow.

I'm loving it and may be toeing the line of slightly-obsessed.

Whomever said earlier in the thread that BOTW feels like an open beta for this game hit the nail on the head.

I'm having a lot of fun playing it but it's like the learning curve for this one is way steeper than BOTW. The last few shrines I've been in, I had to look online for help because I just could not figure out what to do.

I mean, I've been trained most of my game-playing life to avoid laser traps. But in one shrine, you literally need to step into a laser trap to advance forward

I literally had to glitch that shrine to complete it.

I have had to do this. I also die A LOT & blow myself up.

It is amazing 6 days later how many people have walkthrough shrine vids up already.

Also what can you get with the korok seeds again?

One thing that's going to be hard for me to remember is when you pick an item to fuse with an arrow, once you select it Link will fire. I've wasted a few because I wasn't already aiming at what I was going for.

Dont let go of the fire button, and it wont

the game can be weird. one enemy in a group will take a corner of a heart while another one will take all of them

It was interesting how they added horns to all the enemies. Definitely took me by surprise when i was fighting a boko, waiting for it to swing and it just charged me.

Spending all my time in the depths on a few play sessions has absolutely devastated my food supply. Where’s the fastest place to stock up? Lol

Not sure the ultimate answer, but i saw a video where someone put a shocker on the front of a boat and rode around elctrocuting fish in the ocean.

Hell those dudes have had the game for weeks to create that content.

Can you travel the Depths fully? I feel like I hit multiple walls that are just way too high. It feels like I need to enter in a different chasm from the surface.
