Early early reviews have leaked, getting perfects and near perfects.

Edge's quote:

quote:

Like Breath of the Wild, Odyssey is a new entry in a long-running series that belies its age with sprightly invention, taking big risks with an established formula, and having all of them pay off handsomely. Mario might be getting on a bit, then, but a dinosaur? This astonishing adventure proves he's anything but. [Dec 2017, p.98]

That game really separates the shite gamers from the good ones. Haven’t seen a dick kicker like that since Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

But this is the easiest Fire Emblem.

I'm excited to give SMO a shot. I loved Galaxy.

I don't care how these both happened on the same day, but it's glorious.

Preordered digitally. Haven’t played a 3d Mario since sunshine.

Pretty fricking stoked, honestly.

Mario 3D World was solid. But not in the same universe as the galaxy games and 64.

Reviews drop in 5 minutes, prepare yourself.

3D World was great game with some pure platforming, but nothing touches the pure joy an open world 3D Mario brings.

Do not watch IGN's review. Spoils just about everything. It's ridiculous.

It was a 10 btw

Let me guess: Mario, Bowser, Princess, Castle.

I loved 3D World, ended up getting 100% on the WiiU version... but yeah, it just didn't scratch the itch that has been left since Galaxy

Saw this in a scan of one of the reviews:

quote:

Nintendo has delivered everything I could want in a Mario game, before adding things that I didn't even know I wanted.

That's what I do love about both Nintendo's philosophy and the pillar Mario games in general. And I felt Galaxy did that as well.

Sometimes their decisions and design choices are super duper odd, but again, if they hit in moments like this, that makes some of the lapses worth it.
