Got about 4-5 hours of playtime in so far. Just playing on normal but definitely noticing ammo is easy to run out of.
Wasn’t sure if I’d be able to run it on my PC but with a RX 6600 and i7 4790k, managing to get 45-60 fps on low settings and 1080p. Usually sit around 60 but dropped to 45ish in new Atlantis.

Same. Want to go Freestar Collective cowboy Han Solo smuggler. Pistols and sniper rifle primarily.

I'm holding off on this until I upgrade my PC, but how is the quest/story/dialogue so far?
I'm really enjoying it, but I've only gotten through the first section.

How is the early access going? You guys enjoying it?
only got 3-4 hours in so far. overall positive. im not blown away yet.
-environment seem very well done so far and stunning
- gun play seems well enough. its not the best feeling by far but that's never been bethesdas strength
- ship controls are a little wonky. if you were looking to get into a game where you're gonna spend a little time behind the stick traveling, this may not do it for you
- Music is very good
- Bugs: in my 3-4 hour paly time ran into 2 bugs so far. both were with companion scripting. Had one go super man and was flying everywhere. another picked a corner and decided to have a marathon running session
-UI and inventory management: oof.....lets just say clunky and not good. i foresee quest tracking with the very limited map tools available is probably going to be challenging
-NPC interactions: probably my biggest let down. I was really hoping they would evolve from their previous style of dialogue. its the classic bethesda thing. NPCs just seem very souless, stare dead eye through you. Animate with constant jerky movement that just seem unnatural. Other studios have gotten that dialogue interaction style down much better.
i know that seems very negative forward but again, so far, i am enjoying it and the small minor things i listed are outshined by the grandeur and bigger design of everything so far.
its been said in several places the game doesnt "get good" until about 50-70 hours in. curious how everyone's take here is at that point.

I'm enjoying it. Just finished one small step and did a side quest.
The scope of this game is fricking insane

Agree with your review so far, but as noted, with a game like this, you barely have even started the game

Yeah like holy shite it is so much. I just looked at the ship editor, all the modding/crafting stations, the first fricking house is a goddamn massive mansion. So much. It's so much lol. There's missions all over the place to do too.

when did swapping shoulders become a burden

Can you? I just learned ADSing crouched behind cover pops you out to shoot. I’ve been shooting like a moron in the open and running back behind cover.
Also just had a fight against 3 higher level ships at the same time twice in a row and coming out on top of those took a few tries, that was a bit rough.

not that i have found...
1/2 this game isn't for me so far, but if you've seen my previous post it makes sense

So I’m annoyed that I can’t do what I want.
The lasers in the initial cave didn’t hurt me when standing in front of them.
The jet afterburners coming down didn’t harm me
I wasn’t able to shoot the shite talking constellation guild financier in his head
What kind of space outlaw am I at this point?

In a good way or bad?
Kinda both. Nothing bad that ruins the game, just a lot to figure out at the start. And I second the post above about too much loot scattered around

I am annoyed by the leveling in this game. You can't add additional points in skills until you complete challenges, yet there will be times when you don't have points available right away and will be wasting challenge opportunities.
I'd have much preferred either 1 point to unlock a skill and then challenges to grow them, or you can put as many points as needed right away but additional benefits aren't unlocked until challenges are complete.
I assume this is going to be an early mod target.

people are hating this game
and this was supposed to be todd's big thing, lol
should of spent time making elder scrolls next game, instead of this.

I haven't seen anyone say they hate it. The majority of people I've seen are saying they either love it or at least think it's a good, solid game.

I’ve seen some similar complaints. That and the cumbersome inventory and shite are what worry me most, along with the incessant loading screens
The people crying because it’s not a space simulator are pathetic. You’re telling me there are people that really thought it’d be fun to land on a shitty procedurally generated planet and walk around? Lol
I’m in no rush to play. Sure there will be plenty of mods by the time I do

That's where I am. I think that in six to twelve months, this is likely to be a hell of a game. I just have no interest in fighting the Bethesda jank when I have a gaming backlog as long as I do.
