Exactly what you said as well as awaiting the post release inevitable debugging (some of which cannot be avoided as no way to prerelease adequately stress test and maintain secrecy).
Part of it is we are fortunately having a pretty good gaming year with remakes and new releases both.

Supposedly it’s being released at version 1.6, with basically them taking the last year to clean up the game.
Look I don’t think it’s a big deal to wait if you want, but kind of weird to come into a thread and brag about it and HOPE it’s buggy to just be “right”

The most disappointing thing I’ve read about Starfield is that there’s no seamless ground to space travel like in No Man’s Sky. If you’re going to rip off a game, at least keep one of the best parts of it.
Nothing takes you out of a game more than a loading cutscene right in the middle of the action.

I'm not buying at launch, so it wouldn't make sense for me to do it, but someone should create the spoiler thread now. Otherwise, this one will be inundated with them regardless of what the title says.

Dang, bought a series S because X's were impossible to find pre 2021 just for this game. Watched the leaked gameplay... uuugh. Not to mention apparently it runs like complete crap on an S. Probably listing mine on ebay and i'll keep chugging diablo till spiderman and mario rpg come out.
