Been playing it for the past few days. It's fricking fun. Wish the campaign was longer though.

It has been a lot of fun.

I have a technical question want to see if anyone else has run into. When I'm in the loading screen waiting to join a MP game (where it is showing the planet), the screen is much more luminous, but right before the match is about to load, the screen dims. I've gone through my tv settings (LG B7) and can't find something that would be causing it. Has anyone else had that happen with their game, or is it a TV setting I have wrong?

ETA: Looks like this has been an issues with others as well. Seems to be an HDR issue the game has right now.

I haven't touched the campaign. All multiplayer.

Working my way up to the "500 kills" gun for the assault class.

It is apparently the tits

I'm having a lot of fun with campaign as well, mainly because I'm enjoying the story. I've never played a previous iteration of Battlefront, so a lot of the complaints that are out there don't really apply to me yet, as I don't really understand what they are complaining about in the first place

That said, SPOILERS:

I am almost done with campaign now. I'm playing the Kylo Ren stuff. Are we to assume that Iden and Del are the parents of Rey? It appears that Del is force sensitive and they are really hammering home the importance of their child.

This campaign has certainly received more scrutiny than Dice's previous efforts, but my problem with it is how Iden continuously takes a back seat to Dice teaching you how to play hero characters.

I can understand that. I don't mind it so much, as it provides a nice change of pace and is fun to dabble with the light saber. Also, since I haven't played these games before, I don't mind the brief tutorial.

I'd like to see a new version of The Force Awakens. Those games were a ton of fun and felt a little easier to do light saber moves, force moves, etc.

I wish they would have just ported the OG Battlefront 2 controls for these games. The controls in those games really were perfect for lightsaber combat and force abilities.

I gained an arse load of credits yesterday lol being off work I'd say I gained 25k credits total. Progression really isn't as slow as people were bitching about. Of course I'm just playing for fun and counting the credits up after the fact, if I was actively playing solely to gain credits instead of have fun I'd probably be bitching too

Mine has slowed a pretty good tick not being able to play daily. Upgrading star cards is the biggest chore though. The weapons aren't bad. Star cards can get out of balance really quick, and really have an impact on the game.

This game is a hell of a lot of fun. I know there is some trepidation with the whole microtransaction controversy. To be clear, I hate that shite and never pay for it and wouldn’t have got the game either until they did away with It.

Now that they have and I have the game this is a really fun shooter/action game with a lot of cool things to jump in and out of. To go from troops on the ground to jumping in a ship and getting in a dogfight (or providing air assistance to the ground troops) just feels seemless and nothing is out of place.

This is a really fun game, and good tribute to Star Wars.

I grinded out the last rifle for the assault class (500 assault kills).

It was worth it. Huge damage, slow fire rate, long range.

Perfect for longer maps like Kashyyk, Naboo (outside).

Really enjoying this game. I like playing the smaller multiplayer levels.

i doubt Iden and Del have anything to do with Rey's existence. Remember, Iden doesn't exist within the Star War's books or movies. Same with Del. I am pretty certain.

The forgone conclusion is that Rey is a SkyWalker. We assume that she is too young and Luke is too old for him to be her father, seeing how it was 30 some odd years since Luke disappeared out of embarrassment and guilt of Ben Solo (aka Kyle Ren) massacred his Jedi Academy. At some point when Luke formed said Jedi Academy, he fell in love and fathered a child with a female Jedi or another woman. Who then fathered/mothered, Rey. Also, Rey is a naturally good pilot and grew up on a desert planet, like both Luke and his father, Anakin. Strong hints by George Lucas there. In short, the popular assumption is, Luke is her grandfather. Like Darth Vader is Kylo's grandfather.

There is a ton of speculation regarding Rey's creation, but this seems to be the most popular one.

There is no chance they would reveal Rey's parentage in a game. I definitely think they wanted people to think that though. More than likely the daughter will be introduced either through DLC or another game.

The trailer for the single player expansion has already revealed that Iden’s daughter is not Rey.

I think that Rey's parents are just going to be ordinary people with no connection to the OT characters.

Well, we know that Rey's parents are not the Meekos. I don't like how old they made Iden look though. She couldn't have been older than 60.

SPOILER

Wonder if Zay and Shriv are going to reform Phoenix Squadron (Lothal is in the Outer Rim).

Agreed. Anyone that plays this and says it sucks or isn't fun just isn't being truthful.

The game is considered canon though.

Redboxed the game the other day for the campaign and played for 4-5 hours, but ultimately returned it. Couldn't get into the gameplay and just Youtube'd the rest of the story.

I did really enjoy the space battle levels though.
