Would you care to explain why they would completely change the console from what they've been doing for years to make it like the Wii?

But in a sense they'll be way ahead due to their experience with tablets

He's saying that the 360 and PS3 changed to motion controls like the Wii, which is totally not true. I still play tons of games with my 360 controller

Those peripherals are completely optional and most games that use them are playable without the motion controls (i.e. Mass Effect 3, GR:FS, etc.)

im not just talking motion controls. d-pad, triggers, thumb sticks, etc, all first on home console by N

You mean the things they already have?

So because Nintendo was around first, history is repeating itself? I'd be willing to bet that the next gen Microsoft and Sony consoles will not have a tablet as a controller

Both have already done this with the Wii. Sony is notorious for taking everything Nintendo has done and ripping it off.

the things that N developed first, to be copied by everyone else that develops home consoles.
the problem with N is that they won't copy others online infastruture. specifically steam or live

I'm willing to bet they do, and I'm willing to bet they blow Nintendo out of the water...they've been in the tablet market for a little longer than nintendo

Nintendo made all these things first. Pretty much every innovation in gaming was first used by Nintendo and the others followed suit.

this, no doubt. nintendo is great at innovation, but notorious at not following through.

Yup. Nintendo's exclusives are way better than Sony or Microsoft.
If it gets 3rd party support back, Game Over.

Disagree, Nintendo is behind the 8-ball right now. Not having 3rd party support for an entire generation of console screwed them. Why would I go buy a new console to play 3rd party games that I can already get for a system I'm familiar with?

This, plus a lot of mature gamers are more interested in games like Gears of War or Mass Effect over Zelda or Mario.

thats just what has happened. multiple developers are already working with nintendo and EA's CEO even went on stage during nintendo's presentation and said how excited they were and that they are committed to developing on the wii u.

Now don't get me wrong, I love Zelda and Mario, which is why I'll likely buy a Wii U, but yea you are right most of the market are interested in GoW over Mario
