You need to up your visit count around Christmas because I think they did 10 games last year and 15 this year. 1 per day.

Not all good but a few solid games.

Pathfinder Kingmaker Enhanced Edition Plus currently free.

And the answer is yes, Steam hasn't gone with the deep discounts with the flash sales like they did in the past. I did pick up 7 games during the Black Friday sale.

The quality of the sale also depends on which Tier 1 games you didn't pick up on release. I skipped Jedi Fallen Order when it came out but it was a solid pickup at $15 bucks in the last sale. I've been waiting for a deep discount on Dark Souls remastered and grabbed that one on Black Friday.

we make more money so should honestly be spending more. it's just none of the deals actually feel like deals. "Sweet, i can get call of duty from 2015 for $20"

Hearts of Iron IV and Kingdom Come look like the best deals.

i also think having things like Gamepass hurts the sale because most of the games offering steep discounts have already sold out to a a subscription service

Even though I can afford it, the lack of sales has definitely reduced my speculative buys: games that I wouldn’t normally play, but buy and let sit in my library until I wake up one day with a wild hair to give it a shot. I’m just not going to do that with a $35 game, no matter how much I can afford to do so.

I've realized that I'll still just play Overwatch even if I have a new game to play so what's the point, good sale or not.

Yup. Which has also limited my prospective buying. Because I’ll see the same price every quarter forever, unless I’m going to play the game in the next quarter, I don’t buy it. In the past, I would build a backlog of dozens, if not hundreds, of games just because the price felt too damned good to pass up

I had this problem with the playstation store.

I think Metro Exodus Enhanced Version was under 10.

That is a great deal for anyone who hasn't played Exodus.

I started playing it and put it aside recently. I'm enjoying it, but just haven't found it to be truly enthralling. But I'll come back to it soon.

It seems like the days of being able to pick up 5-10 year old AAA games for less than $10 are all but gone.

I'm afraid to buy games from Epic because it feels like a bubble waiting to burst.

Epic is shite and I refuse to buy or even get their free games. One of their new free games is a coop game that looks like fun. Well thanks to their shite tastic software, it has no online or remote play. So yey, you have a neutered game. Plus it’s exclusive, so if you wanted to play online coop on steam, you can’t….

GOTY is $9.99, but sure. That's why I said "all but gone". You can still find the stray game, but the days of every major release dropping into the single digits once the next gaming gen hits seem to be past us, unfortunately.
