+1
Playing through FFVIIR now and the annoying thing is, they keep changing it up. One normal press will work here, next screen you have to hold down the button, etc.
It's the same damn action. Let me hit triangle and get on with my day

And those are the only vendors that actually have any gold in the early game.
This reminds me, stores that have a limited amount of money sucks too.

I agree. When I walk through a city irl, almost no one on the street talks to me. I don't understand why games believe every damned NPC needs to directly reference you. Create an ambient sound environment and save your dialogue for when it might add something. The average idiot on the street might gawk at the Hero of Kvatch every time they see me, but mewing about sweetrolls every time I walk past is fricking moronic.

Agreed 100%.
For example, on a simple stroll through any populated area in Velen or Novigrad, such a large percentage of people should not be so inclined to spit on you and call you a "witch fricker".
I mean, two swords on your back, pouch of small bombs on your side, high end armor, severed monster head strapped to the side of your steed as a trophy, and quite the widespread reputation for being a highly skilled fighter and even a "murderer" known as the "White Wolf" and the "Butcher of Blaviken"...
But let's deliberately go out of our way to frick with that guy

I’m working my way through the books before I play the games. Three books of short stories and two novels in and exactly one person has picked a fight with him because he is a Witcher. One. And he did so because because he was allegedly the baddest motherfricker in the city (and had friends). People, for the most part, aren’t all that comfortable around witchers, but even assassins have to be tricked into contracts on him. I have a feeling that kind of crap is going to annoy the hell out of me when I finally play them

You have the chance to totally skull frick a whole tavern of assholes early in the game in 3. Its satisfying.

That's actually (kind of) how one of the short stories start. I wonder if they lifted it from there.

Having a follow quest where the NPC walks slower than you so you have to keep stopping.

No pause. Im married with 2 kids and have a full time job. Unless everyone in my house is sleeping, odds are I’m going to have to briefly stop playing. Dark Souls kills me with this, I’ve learned all the safe spots and learn quick ways to bonfires.
Too much story. Seriously, if I want to watch a movie I’ll watch a movie. The only exception I make is Witcher 3.
