Does anybody know if a 2015 college football game will be produced, and by who?

They just paid out a huge settlement. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if it's suspended indefinitely

I wouldn't expect a NCAA game for a long time, unless this whole pay for play issue gets settled in the near future.

Unfortunately no company is making a game. Some schools have withdrawn their support of use of their logos and such. A simple solution would be to release a game where it is customized by the user. Just give the users a blank slate.

The greedy players opted for about 200 dollars and in return EA is not making any more games

Also schools have started opposing it as well

if i had to guess, there will never be another NCAA Football like we have become accustomed to…. it was great while it lasted, but, alas, like Robert Frost once wrote "shite happens"….

Well frick. Why can't players be content with playing the game they love and not be so money happy and want money just because they are in a video game? So stupid and conceited.

Yea I mean why can't you go to work for free just because you love it?

If I were a player, especially one that never makes it to the NFL, I sure as hell would want to get paid by someone making money off of my likeness.

No, they're selfish assholes, and because of it people can't buy the same game they've been buying for the last 10 years, again. Hmmmm...wait a minute...wouldn't that make the consumer a selfish a-hole because he wants a fine young gentlemen who had a career ending injury, playing the game that he loves, to go without any compensation off the product that practically steals his likeliness for a substantial profit? Surely that's not the case, right?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't almost all of these athletes receiving scholarships? That's a hell of a payment for four or years less of playing a game.

They don't get those scholarships from EA.

I know for a fact that Takeo Spikes loved NCAA Football for playstation and he bought every copy while he was in college on the first day they came out. Then he would go back to Kaybee toys the next day complaining about them making him too slow again. I was friends with the manager at kaybee and he told me several of the players would go buy it release day.

They are getting a scholarship that covers their school, can eat all they want for free and are being publicly advertised. I wouldn't care if I was in a video game. Most are just selfish.

EA pays that scholly?

Where in that scholly does it say they have to let other companies use their likeness for profit?

It doesn't. The deal is to play football in exchange for the scholly. That's it. I don't see it as selfish at all on their part.

Download custom roster updates in NCAA 14.

Voila, there's NCAA 15.

Consumers save money, players aren't whored out. Win-win for all.

"QB #9" on LSU a few iterations ago was pretty solid. I won a few heisman a with him. That alone should end any debate about player likeness.

I find the whole thing silly. They look nothing like the players other than a jersey number amd skin color.
