I started it after Christmas. Just hit level 70. Ready to play the game now haha. Dragon flying is bad arse.

Didn't they add dragon flying in WoTLK yet now they are acting like this is some new feature?

If by subtle you mean hit you in the face like a brick. Shes in a moderate dem, we get along, she doesn't look for it and play the game, don't even really pay attention to lore but the LBGTQ action on LBGTQ action was so attention grabbing it made her take noticed.

Went back to tour everything again recently.
Just finished warcraft 3 remastered for the first time ever...
It was awesome to go back and venture around these areas from warcraft 3. I didn't know the lore and never played WC until WoW.
Really neat going by Hearthglen and Scholomanceas well as the epic Stratholme....
Canceled my subscription after touring and playing all those old places from my playing days. Nostalgia only got me back for so long.
It was awesome though.

They added flying in Wrath. The dragon-riding they added with DF is something entirely different. It makes the entire world feel different.

So I haven't bought dragonflight. But I hit 60 and now what?
I feel leveling was so expedited that I flew through the typical "lvl your trade skills" and earn gear type grind
I solo'd the entire way. It's so different I don't even know what to do.

Rep grind to continue the story. The world quests. Regular dungeon then heroic dungeon then move into mythics and the raid

You need to buy dragonflight now.
The way they have WoW setup now you can level from 1 to the max level before the current expansion (in this case 60) extremely quickly. Then the last 10 levels are always the new expansion and that's where the meat is. So buy the expansion and you'll get the starting quest to progress into it.
Then do everything Geaux mentioned:

Did you play on PC?
I was a dual boxer on PS2 EQOA. Your story is similar to what mine was. I was in a raid guild that was fun until I retooled my Slayer into an MT Death Knight because my CM count was ridiculously higher than any other tank in the guild.
I lived in max debt for them for about a year after that until I walked away and started a guild with a few other good friends who were also tired of shite being so serious in their respective guilds.
I lived to game back then when I was in my early 20s, and it was nothing to do a 12-14 hour XP grind at Xrags or farming in PoS/PoD... and when I realized that the guild viewed that as "selfish" and a "waste of time I could be spending to better the guild", I told them to FO. I wanted to have fun playing, not have a job playing. I paid monthly dues to those assholes too The Guild Master demanded everyone's email addresses and phone numbers in case they failed to log on for a scheduled raid, and he would sure as shite blow your phone up if they were ready to go and you weren't there... "Oh, your grandma had a stroke and you're in the hospital with her? Sorry to hear that. Can you go home and log on long enough to tank Bertoxxulos for us, and then we'll give you a couple days off?"
The year following starting my own guild was the most fun I had during my time playing EQ. I didn't get much Uber gear after that, but ended up maxing my CM count on my two main toons. I ended up quitting cold turkey one day though, when I realized I had absolutely no life outside of my job and the time I spent online. It still wasn't easy There's a reason they called it "EverCrack".
I never knew EQ was on PS2. I quit before 2003 though.
I quit 6 months after luclin came out.

Started a gnome warlock and I am absolutely cruising through the levels while solo, really tempted to start another subscription.

I took a break again. It was fun for a bit. Dragonflight expansion was good. Game very soloable until dungeons/raids

This was me in Everquest
I quit because my life became:
-Have to log on at this time
-Have to do this hours long progression
-Have to MT
-All so the guild leader could get a leaf or some shite
shite became a job. felt like I was punching a clock
We had a great core group. This was before the days of voice chat so everything was text (raidcall eventually came out but I was on dialup so it was crap for me). For us it was fun just sitting a camp and working together to kill stuff, BS during the downtime, rinse and repeat.
We were more casual so we raided only on the weekends (except for special occasions, like camping for fricking Ragefire). What killed the game for me was the combination of people slowly leaving combined with the lack of character expansion other than new gear/levels (played a bard, the "new" songs were generally just combos or retreads of older ones). I bowed out right after Gates of Discord.
Every few years I log in on my 65-ish bard and solo around the cabin in PoNightmare for a few weeks (farming AAs), but that's about it.

I used to play a LOT about 13-14 years ago and would do 10 man raids with a disc priest or elemental shaman.
But a warlock leveling was OP if you were affliction. DOT up a bunch of mobs then life tap and that life drain thing and end up killing a bunch of stuff and end with full health and mana.

I chose demonology (sp?) and it’s been a lot of fun changing the different buddies. Still trying to get use to the rotations but it’s been a very forgiving class.

I haven't played in forever but back in the day, demonology was not good at end game raiding. Affliction or destro was the only way to put up good dps numbers. Destro burned faces, affliction was crappy on trash mobs but excelled on boss fights when the DOTs would be able to work for the duration of the fight. I never messed with demonolgy....I remember needing to sacrifice the minion or something.
