Yes sir.

quote:

“The immersive experiences will include major attractions at Universal’s theme parks and will feature Nintendo’s most famous characters and games,” stated an official release. To be clear, this isn’t a full-on Nintendo theme park. Rather, Universal theme parks will create “spectacular, dedicated experiences based on Nintendo’s wildly popular games, characters and worlds.” In short, Nintendo-themed attractions in Universal parks.

DISCLAIMER: To my knowledge, it is not known where the location(s) will be. They could be anywhere, so I would wait to see where exactly it is before actually getting too excited. Needless to say, if Nintendo wants to bring in the duff, it would .be stupid if they didn't put it in a very accessible place.

This would be incredible. Universal has excellent rides and they could do some really fun things with Nintendo IPs.

And then this happened.

I really wish they'd do a full park Nintendo Themed. Be pretty easy to fill the whole thing up with themes and rides. Ok picture it as sort of like the Island of Adventures set-up:

Entrance: The Village from Animal Crossing: Got all your stores, some cafes, and mascots running around.

Left going right clockwise

Mushroom Kingdom: First a kiddy Yoshi roller coaster. Also have an explorable Peach's Castle (where you can also buy cake and sweets), and inside is Mario's Galaxy Tour, which is much like the Spider-Man ride and you go throughout the Galaxy while Mario fights Bowser. Luigi's Mansion would be here and be like the Haunted Mansion. And here's my best idea: actual fricking Mariokart. The karts will have screens on the steering wheels, and you can have banana peels which doesn't allow you to turn for 1 second, green turtle shells for blocking, red turtle shells for aiming, stars speed up your cart, lightnings slow down carts, and the spikey shell shuts down the cart in first place for 3 seconds. The roads will have LED solar roadway lighting to where you can see items and item boxes and will be based on Rainbow Road.

Donkey Kong's Jungle: The centerpiece here is the mineshaft roller coaster, and K. Rool's Krazy Kremling Tour. The mineshaft roller coaster is wooden roller coaster that goes in and out of mineshafts. K. Rool's Kremling Tour is a river rapids ride. Tropical food stands as well as daiquiris and beers are featured here.

Hyrule Castle Town: Hyrule has a log flume ride Link's Legendary Log Flume, Ganon's Tower (which would freefall tower), and Zelda's Merry-Go-Round. The village also features taverns, restaurants, a shooting gallery, a fortune teller, and the Happy Mask Shop. There would also be some sort of Fire Emblem ride in there as well.

Planet Zebes: This zone is all about shooting. One of the attractions would be this bad boy, but with a Metroid shooting theme: ( LINK). Next would be a slight roller coaster like Men in Black at Universal where you shoot at aliens, Metroid, and then finally Ridley, but moving more quickly.

Future World (Corneria/Mute City): First is the Star Fox ride. Will be like Back to the Future, but even more realistic and ridiculously retro. Next would be an Mute City Roller coaster, the fastest one in the park. Futuristic food is served here.

Retroland: All the retro games are here. First there would be a Kid Icarus roller coaster where you feel as if you're on your stomach and flying. Next would be an ice cream shop that's literally freezing on the inside in tribute to the Ice Climbers. There would be two major arcades here as well: Mr. Game and Watch's Arcade, which specializes in older arcade games (Donkey Kong, Duck Hunt), and then Wario's Arcade, which has newer games (Wii Sports and Warioware style games), some of which can't be found outside of the park. The goal of this land is to be the world's biggest and greatest arcade, to where any arcade and gaming disputes will be handled here. A big Nintendo store will also be located here, selling merchandise and games.

Kirby's Dreamland/Distant Planet: The kiddy section of the park. The Distant Planet part will be a major playground similar to "Honey I Shrunk the Kids". As for Dreamland, you have the typical Disney kiddy rides there, like a variation of teacups and Dumbo rides. If you've gone clockwise through the park, you'd end up back at the Village where you started.

Lumiose City: In the dead center of the park you have the Pokemon inspired area. It will be the largest portion of the park, with entrances from all other lands in the park. There are no real rides here, aside from an elevator to the top of the Prism Tower that gives you a beautiful view of the entire park. At the entrance, you can purchase a game exclusively to use in Nintendo Land dealing with Pokemon. Bring your 3DS and a team of your Pokemon you've trained outside of the park (note: they will all be level 50). There are 8 gyms in the park, and you'll face off with your fellow trainers in the gyms. You have to beat 2 trainers in each gym in order to get a badge. If you lose, you need to go heal your Pokemon at a healing booth within the gym. Each gym will have a different theme within, and it will be cool just to walk in and look at the gym designs. When you get all 8 badges, you can go to the Prism Tower and face off with the Elite 4, who will be costumed members from the actual game. If you win, you get the title of Pokemon Master and a metal badge free of charge. And please note that your badges reset each day after the park is closed, so you'll have to do it all over again. Granted, this may be a parent's nightmare, but a nerd's wet dream. There are lots of stores, Pokemon Centers, cafes, and bars within Lumiose City to keep parents happy.

Tell me that you all wouldn't fly for this park?

The thing I'd be most excited about is if they hired some babes to do something like Disney does with their characters

Hot bitch walking around with a skin tight Zero Suit on.

Zelda would be smoking as well.

I think some costumes would be very difficult to pull off, Kirby seemingly being impossible.

You've spent a lot of time thinking about this.... but Nintendo should hire you. Should be more to offer in Hyrule (I'm biased, Zelda is my favorite game franchise) but everything else is perfect. Especially the Pokemon portion!

Honestly, I think what's key to Nintendo Land working is it feels like you're in a game rather than just an amusement park. Becoming a true Pokemon Master and it actually being difficult to achieve would become the star attraction of the park and people would come for thousands of miles to do it. Real life Mariokart people would travel for just for that. A virtual reality Metroid Prime game people would come for. A virtual Star Fox simulator that can do a barrel roll people would come for. The world's single greatest arcade and competitive gaming arena people would come for.

While I'm satisfied with my Castle Town idea, I do agree that it is missing something. I was thinking of something like the Metroid simulator, but this time you have a sword and have to navigate a dungeon and solve puzzles, but not sure how that would work with massive lines.

Edit: in addition with the Pokemon theme, each gym would have massive screens through the floors that shows the whole battle, and people can gamble on who will win. Each trainer can battle with 3 Pokemon, and with the Elite 4 you can battle with all six slots. Each gym will have 4 arenas to battle in. So with all the gyms, there could theoretically be 36 Pokemon battles going on at once.

As for the types of arenas:

Rock
Water
Grass
Fire
Electric
Psychic
Ghost
Ice

And for the Elite 4:
Dragon
Fairy
Dark
Steel

And please note, these arenas will affect certain Pokemon stats.

Just hire a few little people and put them in a inflatable Kirby suit. Like the Nebraska cornhusker or that Arky Mascot.

You just need to send a resume into Universal and just attach your ideas along with it. I don't see how they could top your idea

You have to blow in the rides to get them to work.

Just had another idea what to do with Pokemon. When you get the game you use to fight in Pokemon gyms, you can also use it in the other lands in the park. Wild Pokemon are roaming the park, and if you've got your 3DS while navigating the park, you can catch them. Great way to pass time in line. Each world has different type of Pokemon in it.

Mushroom Kingdom: Fire and Ghost
Donkey Kong's Jungle: Water and Ground
Hyrule Castle Town: Dragon and Fairy
Planet Zebes: Dark and Poison
Future World: Steel and Ice
Retroland: Fighting and Rock
Kirby's Dreamland/Distant Planet: Grass and Flying
Village: Bug and Normal
Lumiose City: Psychic and Electric
