Been looking forward to these two games coming out this week. Any of yall picking one or two of these up?

Rise of Ronin is apparently getting bad reviews so the play might be to get Dragons Dogma 2 first.

DD2 looks incredible. Ronin not so much. Trying to hurry and finish ff7r so I can get DD2

Dragon’s Dogma will be more of a sure thing. I sunk a ton of hours in the first one and 2 will be a bigger, better version.

I’ll probably get RotR when it goes on sale. Will definitely keep an eye on it but the mixed reviews have me skeptical.

Pre ordered both of them. Probably play Ronin first and then Dragons Dogma 2. Hopefully that will take me up to the Elden Ring DLC and Black Myth: Wukong.

Might be leaning more on the RotR side now. DD2 performance looks kinda fricky especially on ps5/xbox. Uncapped frame rate ranging from low 40s to low 30s and it kinda jumps all over the place.

RotR looks like a mashing of Nioh, Tsushima, and Sekiro and it’s kinda growing on me the more gameplay I watch.

Never heard of that other game but I've been looking forward to Dragon's Dogma 2 for years.

I’m torn on which to play first. Which one do yall figure will be fixed more with patches in a couple months?

Reviews for both are great

I'm not speaking to the quality of the game when I say this, but what indicates Rise of the Ronin needs a lot of fixes?

It seems that Dragons Dogma 2 runs at an uncapped framerate that hovers around 24-40 FPS, but that's the only issue that I'm aware of with that game. With time, it's possible that they will improve performance.

I haven't looked into the reviews in depth yet, but my understanding is that the games are quite different.
I'm a Team Ninja fan in general, so I'm looking forward to Rise of the Ronin getting on PC, but DD2 is going to be very different from RotR just based on what I know of the two. It really is more about what kind of game you want imo.

Ronin just seems like a cheap Ghost of Tsushima knockoff

This game was fun and gorgeous but the open world was ridiculously boring

I've only played about an hour of Ronin so far, but it seems like a reskin of Wo Long, so far. Will probably jump on Dragons Dogma 2 and circle back to Ronin when I finish.

So far I am disappointed with it. I was hoping to get an open world action RPG set in 1860s Japan, but this is absolutely first and foremost a soulslike.

I just played ROTR a bit and the game play is not good. I don't like the fighting controls or styles. There is no grace to it, like Ghosts. I don't think I want to keep playing it..

Glad I decided on Dogma. The FPS is hurting me though. If they could have done a performance mode it would be beautiful

how so? From what I’ve seen there’s nothing soulslike about it outside of Sekiro style parrying

I would like to play Dragon's Dogma, but I've heard it's exactly like the first game, and I just didn't "get" the first game. I've tried to play it a couple times, and it lacks a certain hook.
