Anyone know how to get high honor back?

My honor level dropped considerably when doing the bandit challenges so I spent a lot of time fishing and throwing fish back to increase honor. Works like a charm.

Greet people amicably in town. Basically say hello to anyone that passes by and you get good honor for it. Tedious, but simple enough.

Word of advice though, redneck fishing will decrease your honor.

Just go into St. Denis and talk to everyone you walk past.

Playing around post-game and seriously just found out the stage coach is a fast travel between towns. I’m a fricking idiot. I thought you had to ride in the damn thing and watch the whole ride.

You can also fast travel from the camp at Arthur's tent...

Where is a good place to stop in story mode to just play with Arthur where everything is unlocked?

Around Act IV if I remember correctly. After you break John out of prison and before everyone starts to leave and die.

You can't play with Arthur in Blackwater, though. The whole time he's still alive, he's got an UltraMurderBounty on him there. You put a toe over that territory line and the bounty hunters mow you down.

ETA: Without exploiting glitches, that is.

Even if you do manage to get passed the pinkertons and go deeper into the territory, the invisible sniper will take you out. As part of the horseman challenge, I had to ride from Van Horn to blackwater in 17 minutes which wasn’t a problem time wise. The problem came in when I reached blackwater area with Arthur and I had to deal with the auto aim pinkertons that seem to spawn right close to me. It took me several times to finally complete that particular challenge.

Appreciate it.

Been playing as John and want to go back to find a spot to play as Arthur. Ended up have a couple of stranger missions that I missed out on.

Just started a new game. I'm trying to prioritize open-world stuff over story this time. I missed a ton in the first play-through, and doing it all as Arthur is more satisfying.

I never realized how much there is to do just around Valentine and Strawberry. I feel like the vast majority of structures do have some sort of interaction if not full-fledged mission that can be pulled off and I always thought most of them were empty when I first played.

The depth of this game only gets more impressive the longer you play.

Same here. Just started today.

What other suggestions on the 2nd play through?
I know how it ends so I’ll be taking my time and actually fully upgrading the whole camp ASAP.

I'm late to the party but begrudgingly watched my man Arthur die last night. Knew it was coming but damn... Rockstar punched me in the gut and now i'm pissed at them for killing off a great character.

How could Dutch stand there and watch Arthur take his last breath with no consoling, after all Arthur did for him. Dude was a maniac... or turned into one.

Played as John for about 30 minutes and i'm stuck on the ranch for now. I'm ready to start shooting again and exploring and seeing where the storyline takes me. Still miss ol Arthur tho.

Dutch is Rockstar's best "villain(?)."

Btw, I played RDR1 after RDR2 and what a huge mistake that was. RDR1 by comparison to 2 is not even in the ballpark of close to the same level of quality in the world building or the writing.

I like to just pretend the original game doesn't even exist

bumping this cause this isnt really thread worthy

it truly is amazing how filled in the world is. i am playing through the game for the 3rd time and its amazing how much shite i still find, just by chance. like the sheriff in valentine. he has this whole second life of probably murdering the woman he was having an affair with and its pretty easy to miss that unless you stop and hang around after your drop off that bounty. its amazing that four years later and multiple playthroughs were i intentionally try to explore as much as possible that stuff like this can still be found

I've been wanting to play this again but was waiting for the PS5 upgrade options. It looks like they scrapped that so I may have to start again soon.

Great game but it's a huge time commitment and can get pretty tedious. I don't take a replay of this lightly.

Trying another run through but I don’t think I can make it. 30fps just ain’t it no more.
