RE4 reviews?

I feel like I am crazy, but tbh, I think the remake has worse art direction than the o riginal.

Just my experience but I had no performance issues on ps5 nor any graphical issues outside a few instances draw distances was bad but it’s rare to see too much of that in the game anyway. Not saying it isn’t happening just my anecdote

I’m loving it and the only thing I can complain about is when you upgrade capacity you don’t get a free clip which means no free magnum bullets unfortunately.

I was seriously about a 9.5 of 10 until i got to the crystal ball puzzle which is probably in like chapter 3 if i was guessing where youre supposed to line it up with what which likes an angel on in inside. You use left analog to rotate and l and r 1 to spin. someone help i refuse to continue until it is done for me

Maybe it is chapter 4 I already have Ashely pistols rifles shotguns and cross bow with extended case, you will know what i mean immediately. Please come share

Gotta say..hardcore is fricking hard. Couldnt get past the village. I remember when it first came out there was a path you had to take but shite that was a long time ago. Getting smoked.

I'm not ashamed to admit I had 25 deaths and 5 hours to complete Chapter 1.

First 15 I forgot I could just run away for 4 minutes. Use the ladders on the second house to the left and the next house (with the door-barring cutscene) has ammo and a shotgun on the wall.

If you have a sniper you can skip the open village scene on a second run if you shoot the church bell. Just lettting y’all know lol

Aside from that I ran it through about 6 times on hardcore to get the best route I could find down. Assuming you’re on ng+ and your knifes (your starter and one you get from a boss right before the game ends plus if you get each little bobble head in the chapters you’ll get the best knife in game so have all 3) are both max in durability and power which should be first thing anyone does,

Sneak left like most prob do, stealth the lady by herb, then go around and alrert here are some tips for my best run I did without damage but it’s the first time I ever did it

- don’t immediately run into shotgun room especially on hardcore it drags out the timer, wait for chainsaw to come on his own

- become a parry master if you haven’t yet you’ll never get past like chapter 6 on hardcore let alone 1 on professional. Perfect
Parry’s give you melee kicks.

- become a master at gettig melee with your pistol to clear groups. Figure which zombie gets melee open ups where not all are head shots ( the woman spears for example are hard to open up) but yes you can knife parry their charge just like 95% of attacks in the game

- when the cutscene and guy shows run into the shotgun room. If you’re on ng+ you can shuff the shelf and grab first aid from back but don’t need the shotgun. Run up stairs and let the ladders guys come up and knife off as they get to window until door downstairs is chainsawed down. Kick ladder down and frick around jn here as long as possible. Flash chainsaw for melee + anyone around him. Magnum maxed damage might 2 shot him. But when you can’t remain jump out the window.

From here you can figure it out not much longer should be needed. Idk if it’s common knowledge but killing chainsaw has no effect on the bell ringing and it’s like 40 seconds longer on hardcore and 90 on professional. Watched a vid of a guy do this set piece in professional without a single shot or grenade used so it’s doable

Also never stop to pick shite up until the fight is down. Drops don’t disappear and it does slow you

I dropped the $60 for it. I played the other two remakes and loved them. I never played the originally RE4, so this is a brand new game for me. On Chapter 2 and loving it so far. The weapons vendor is dope.
