With all of these different streaming services offering different content, there has to be a point of diminishing returns

It seems everyone wants the good content and channels, which are the ones that cost the most to operate. By the time you subscribe to everything, you are getting closer and closer to the cost of cable service

Not to mention that it will inevitable force cable to modify their structure to try and level the playing field.

It should be a win for everyone

I know what you're saying, but with HBO just changing the game a little and Netflix and Hulu, we're talking a grand total of $29 for movies, updated network programming, original programming and some old stuff. Then you have over the air for the big networks and you get most PGA, NFL, NBA, NCAA and NASCAR events free. ESPN and kid stuff is free if you can manage getting a login.

If you really want to go the extra mile like I will likely do, I'll drop the $110 on MLB.TV just because I will use it heavily. That's not even $10/month over the year.

Grand total is under $40. My DTV bill is $140.

I wonder if networks will stop renewing agreements with Hulu if they feel they can profit by providing their own service

With HBO starting this, I could see it being attractive for some networks, at a lower rate than HBO of course

They already have a good bit of content on Amazon Prime (Obviously not the newest stuff). I don't think that will change.

I like flipping channels when I don't know what to watch

Me too.

Cable is going nowhere in my house for the foreseeable future.

I bet if I cut the cord I'd have a good bit of monthly cash leftover to play a few 11-hole rounds of golf.

You wouldn't have the time. You'd be too busy trying to teach your wife how to work all that stuff.

Remember Phuong? We work together now. Randomly saw each other in the hallway today. Small world...she asked if i still talked to you...she says hi.

She doesn't go by that name anymore apparently

Stage names aren't something you generally acknowledge in public.

Yeah I think I saw her in the Express DMV recently. She's really sweet. Last name starts with D Now?
